After the call ended, Isabelle came back into the room. "He so likes you," she says.
"Does not," I say.
"Does to."
"Does not."
"Does to."
"Does not."
Jillian jumps on me, pins me down, and smacks me. "He does. Now shut up," she says. "Fine," I say, giving up.
"Can't believe you told him he has a nice collarbone," I laugh. "Well, he does!" Jillian laughs.
My phone buzzes, and I pick it up. A new text from Nick.
From: Nick.
Hey Kacey. So, Sara didn't pick up so I talked to her mom. She took away Sara's phone and any internet access and is keeping it until she apologizes to you.
I smile. It's amazing how Nick did that for me.
To: Nick
Thank you so much. You didn't have to do that, though.
My phone buzzes almost a minute later.
From: Nick
No, I did. It's not acceptable how she's treating you. But um... now that you don't have to worry about Sara telling everyone your secret...do you wanna go see a movie tomorrow?
I let out a squeal. "What was that?" Isabelle asks.
"My 'Nick just asked me to go see a movie tomorrow' noise," I say. They both scream.
"What?"
"I knew he liked you!"
"What are you going to wear?"
"What movie?"
"Guys, chill. I haven't even replied yet," I laugh.
To: Nick
Sure, what time?
Nick replies pretty quickly.
From: Nick
How about 4?
I look at my calendar, and I don't have anything at 4.
To: Nick
Sounds great :)
"I'm going to the movies with Nick tomorrow at 4," I tell them.
