Nick and I haven't talked in 3 weeks.
He went on vacation for Winter Break, and it's the first week back at school, and he isn't back yet.
That isn't even the worst part. Sara started some rumor that I slept witth some guy who lives down the street from me, and everybody believed it. Nobody has talked to me since, except Jillian. Luckily, Nick gets back today. But I don't want him to be seen talking to me.
I walk into the school, where everybody stops, stares, then whispers about me. I see Nick at his locker at the end of the hall, but I turn and try to get away before he sees me.
"Kacey! Wait up!"
I failed. Nick saw me. I turn around.
"Hey Nick," I smile. Before he can say another word, Sara and Adriana come up behind him
"Nick, why are you talking to her?" she asks. "Why shouldn't I?" he asks, confused. "Because she slept with the guy who lives down the street from her," she says.
"No I didn't!" I protest. "Yes you did!" she argues.
"Sara, I know Kacey a millon times better than you ever will, and she would never do that. So, maybe you should stop making up rumors about Kacey just because she went on a date with me and you're jealous!" Nick yells at Sara.
By now, the entire hallway is watching us. It's dead silent as Sara looks around in hope for someone to defend her. She turns to Adriana. "Adri?" she asks, desperate. Adriana takes a deep breath. "I would defend you, but Nick's right. You're just jealous that Nick likes Kacey and not you," she says.
Sara's mouth drops open. She closes it, then smirks. "Well, Kacey has a big fat crush on Nick!" she announces. I close my eyes for a second. That's it. Sara told them. Everybody knows.
"I have a big fat crush on Kacey," Nick says. I look up at him. "You do?"
"You do?" Sara asks.
"You do?" a few more people say.
Soon, the entire hallway says it. "You do?"
"I do," Nick nods.
A few girls sigh in disapointment. A few guys cheer him on. But then there's Sara.
"You're both going to pay for this! Especially you, Jensen!" she snaps. She starts waklking away.
"Sara, wait!" Nick calls out. She turns around. "What?"
"Only I can call her Jensen!"

Yay for another update! This is kind of just a filler for now. I won't be able to update this weekend, since I won't have my laptop and I hate writing from my phone. But, I will update Monday night!
