Me and Dylan sat down. My eyes darted around the room, making sure Zach wasn't eavesdropping.
"Alright Dylan, what is going on?" I asked.
He sighed and raked his hand through his fluffy brown locks.
"Meet me in the basement tonight, at midnight" he whispers.
I open my mouth to say something but all I do is nod silently. Suddenly Zach barges in the room.
"whats up with you?" he asked, eyeing me up and down.

 "nothing, just bored" i shrugged.

a mischevious look creeps over his face.

"lets play hide in seek" he suggests.

"but where, definintly not this house?" i state.

a smirk plays at his lips.

 "the church"

i look over at Dylan to see him freeze in his spot. his eyes are glazed over with fear.

"come on Dyl, its not like its haunted" i said as i patted his back.

Dylan slowly nodded as we made our way out of the house. suddenly i felt what Dylan was feeling before. the church was completely abandoned. its paint was peeling, the windows were boarded up and it smelled of...death. i hesitated and took a deep breath.

"are you coming or not?" asked Zach.

"yeah, yeah i was just, um... thinking".

Zach rolled his eyes at me as i ran towards him. i stood in front of the decaying church and gently pushed the door open. we walked in, Dylan trailing behind us.

"okay, so who will be it?" asked Dylan.

 "you" stated Zach.

i could see Dylan shiver before turning his back and counting to 10.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5" i heard his voice echo against the chapel walls as i hid under a bleacher.

i could hear Zach's feet shuffling around the wooden floor.

 "6, 7, 8, 9, 10... ready or not here i come!" Dylan yelled in a shaky voice.

i cupped my hand over my mouth as i heard footsteps drawing nearer. i looked up, prepared to see Dylan but what i saw instead made me regret ever looking up. it was a tall creature in a suit, with stringy black hair, sunken in eyes and no mouth.

"ahh!" i let out a scream as i felt my eyes roll in the back of my head as i was engulfed into darkness.
