Chapter 11

You weren't even paying attention to the crowd of people swarming the room and taking their places.

You wanted to rub your eyes just to check you were actually awake, but you knew there was no point, you knew you were awake.

Nova sat down next to you, looking at you weirdly, and got her books out of her bag.

'You do know it's the middle of summer right?' She said pulling on your scarf.

You flinched, probably because of either paranoia or because of what Mr. Fischbach had done.

'What's with the scarf?' She asked after she didn't get a rise out of the tugging.

'Umm..' you hesitated, not knowing how to explain it. 'I've kinda got an obvious thing' you explained poorly, gesturing to your neck.

As predicted, she looked at you confused. 'Hickeys' you whispered, keeping an eye on Mr. Fischbach as you said it.

'No way!' she said a little too loud. 'Who? No, let me guess' she said excitably.

She then continued to list off tonnes of guys names, most you hadn't even heard of before.

You stopped her before she got too carried away 'It was Jack' you said flatly.

'Ladies' you froze to your seat again, 'Are you quite finished? I'd like to start my lesson' you looked up at him shyly and nodded.

Today he was wearing a blue suit with a black tie, it complemented his body nicely. No, I can't think of him like that it will get me in trouble!

After you had snapped out of your daydream, you saw him walking around the room handing out papers.

'Now, this shouldn't be too hard, it's based on the assignment you all did last night, so I'm sure you'll all pass with flying colours' he said as he handed the last piece of paper to you.

You looked down at the paper, it was a test! A fucking test! You skim read the questions, you had no idea, literally nothing.

'Okay, you have two hours and a half to complete as many questions as you can. Your time starts now'

Two hours and a half of sweat and confusion.

You didn't know any of the answers so you were basically writing down whatever you could, and by the looks of it Nova knew nothing as well.

Finally, it was over. You put your pen down and Mr. Fischbach collected all of the papers.

'You can have an early break so I can mark these tests but be back by 11:30am so I can go through the work we will be doing tomorrow'

You remembered that you only have half a day today, you'd never been so happy and sad at the same time.

Leaving the classroom with Nova you heard all of your class mates talking about how easy the test was.

You and Nova looked at each other as if to say 'At least we've failed together'.

As you got past the flood of people leaving your room, you saw Jack and Jesse waiting for you.

Jesse smiled at Nova and pulled her into a passionate kiss, you looked at Jack with fear in case he decided to do the same.

Again, he grabbed you and pulled you into a large hug.

Someone cleared their throat.

'That's not very appropriate for school now is it?' the voice said, you knew exactly who it was without looking up.

You went to say something back, something about him not being very appropriate last night when you notice him eyeing up Jack.

You all stayed quiet, Mr. Fishbach looked like he was going to hit Jack.

After an awkward moment of silence he turned to you 'Y/N can I talk to you inside for a moment?'
