Headmaster Archie:
It's been two weeks since the students went through the simulations and started their minors. Minors are different always depending on the person, a fire major could have a water or an air minor. By now they're preparing for the first tournament.
Their major class each filled with 16 have been split down the middle into two teams of 8. Team one and team two, the teams will be separated and fight against each other to put everyone in a rank on each team. Meaning team 1 will be fighting against team 1.
I unfortunately have to be there to moderate and determine each winner. I placed my paint brush down as I looked at my painting.
It was of a bright forest, radiating beauty and serenity. That's where I rather be right now, not running an entire school. I let out a ragged breath, I've been living on my calming herbs to keep the attacks away but sometimes they still manage to grip me tight.
Ever since I came here, I've been unable to sleep, I barely eat. All I can think of is failing and seeing that disappointed look father always gives me.
"Headmaster, it's time for the tournament to begin" My assistant Lady Thana said with a soft smile as she escorted me out of the room and to the Sky arena. I climbed up the stairs to the headmaster chair.
All the students filed into the bleachers as the air students waited inside the arena.
"Alright students!" I said in a fake happy voice as I forced a smile onto my face.
"The rules are simple, no fatal magic or spells, only use your minor magic for the 2nd round if necessary. To lose you must either tap out or be put into a condition to which the staff feels your are unable to fight anymore and the other participant will be the victor and move on to fight again.
The winner will become the captain of your team.
"Now let us begin!"
Aria:
I stood and watched 2 battles and I'm next... All of them seem so tough. I'm not sure if I'll be able to win.
"Aria Brisa and Jonathan Strauss come on down to the battle arena!!!"
We both entered from opposite sides of the arena. The referee came in between us and repeated the rules. As soon as his whistle blew we both jumped back getting ready.
"You should just give up now... I'm a seasoned warlock, scum like you could never beat me." He taunted.
His words lit a fire inside me... I'm gonna win this. I started off by calling the wind to swirl around me. He did the same. Both of us now had wind swirling around us.
He made the first move by taking the wind into a ball and shooting it in my direction, swiftly I dodged it. He smirked at me laughing quietly.
"Nice job... for trash." He bullet-ed toward me, I was too slow to dodge his fist from making contact with my chin. The crowd gasped.
"HAHAHA I told you to just give up!!!"
I will not lose. I got up and did the only move I know he can't see coming. I called the wind once again to swirl around me.. This time faster, taking up all the sand from the ground. I pushed the tornado to him. He had nowhere to go, and was taken by it.
"AAAAAHHH IIIIII GIIIIVEE UUUUUUUP!!!!" I snapped my fingers making the tornado disperse. He landed on his butt and I began to laugh.
" You heard him, he gives up." I laughed to the ref. He shrugged his shoulder and raised his his hand to my side.
