"And make sure my clocks are set! We went back an hour on Sunday you know? Or maybe ya don't because your generations got it allll automatic-"

"Is that it Doc? I'm running late for class." You hold your phone up with your shoulder, locking your locker, all managing to carry your textbooks and binders in the other arm.

"Yes, Yes I don't mean to keep you from getting your spectacular education, I will ring you at my shack 4:00 sharp!"

You signed off swiftly hanging up. The mad scientist of your neighbourhood everyone had been creeped out by since the late 40's was indeed your tutor for biology and physics, Dr. Brown, or as you refer to him as, Doc.

Even though he's old as ever and can barley leave his rocking chair anymore, he was able to keep you in the 90's showing up everyone in your class, since freshman year, and you were grateful for that.

But boy was that man strange. His obsession with science was bizarre. He even has things in his shack that you weren't allowed to see yet, and you've known him for years.

You've been helping him clean out and pack away his weird inventions as pay back for his lessons, ever since his wife is keen on making him not go back there, and cause 'the unnecessary chaos, that will break every bone in his back and give him a golly ol' heart attack!"'

And today as you rush to Math, you wondered if your social life would be better without a geezer reminding you of Mandela effects all the time.

Which you totally stand by anyways.

"Late for Burrell again aren't you?"

You look at your best friend Ava from the side of your eye, as she joined you and matched your speed walk.

"Listen, I thought I had 10 more minutes of sleep in time, but it turned into 30 since I ended up dreaming that I was chicken little, and the sky was falling."

You didn't have to look at her to see that she was giving you a "why do I associate my self with you again?" glance.

"Don't ask." You sigh as she follows you down a set of stairs. "Your lucky you have a spare."

"Yeah, but I have to work on my recommendation letter for Harvard, and find my three references, so we can trade places any day." She combed her blonde hair out of her face.

"Still... I wish I was graduating with you, so you wouldn't have to take it on by your self, and I can get out of this routine city you know?" You admit. You hated that you were younger then her, even though you didn't look like it to anyone else. You wish you could just grow up already.
