Chapter 18

{Rose}
"Where are you going?" Kaz asks as I walk to the front door. "To the store downtown. New 5SOS merchandise came out and there's no way that I'm missing out on that. There's a package coming for me later." I say and grab my car keys. He grabs my hand and the keys from it as well. "What are you doing?! I have to get to that store." I say and he shakes his head. "No. I told you that you weren't leaving the house." He says and I roll my eyes. "I really need to go, Kaz." I say and he shakes his head again. "You're not leaving this house." He says in a low, husky voice and I force myself to think of something else other than how sexy he sounds right now. I sigh and look up at him with pleading eyes. "Is there any way that I can go to that store?" I ask and he nods his head. "I have to come with you, and you can't move far away from me. You have to holding my hand at all times, and if I get a bad feeling we're leaving...with the shorts or not." He says in a demanding tone and I nod my head as we walk out of the apartment and to his car before he drives off.

{A few minutes later...}
Kaz pulls into a parking spot and gets out of the car and comes to my side before he opens the door and helps me out of the car. I get out and he grabs my hand and laces our fingers together before we both walk into the store. I drag Kaz over to the shirt section and grab every single shirt in sight that's band related. He laughs as he watches me grab shirt after shirt. "If I remember correctly, you said only one shirt." He says as he watches me. "You know good and well that I mean five hundred, when I say one." I say as I grab the last shirt that I wanted. "Okay...we can go now." I say and we walk to the counter and I put all of my stuff down. "What happened to you if I can ask?" The guy at the register asks as he looks at Kaz. "I got in a car crash, and broke my ribs." I explain and he nods his head before he gives me a small smile. "I hope you feel better." He says and I nod my head before I give him a small smile as well. "Thank you." I say as I hand him the money. "No, I'm paying." Kaz says and I grunt at him. "No...I'm going to pay for my things." I say and hand the guy at the register money before Kaz can protest. I grab my bags and give the guy at the register a small smile. "Thank you." I say as I walk out with a very angry Kaz behind me.

"Why wouldn't you let me pay?" Kaz asks as sit across from each other as we start to eat our lunch. "Because I hate when a guy pays for me when I'm perfectly capable of doing it by myself." I answer with a shrug my shoulders. "Why are you still so stubborn?" He asks with a laugh and I shrug my shoulders. "I've always been this way...you knew exactly what you were getting into." I say and go back to eating. I look up and see Gage looking at me with fire in his eyes. "We need to go, Kaz...right now." I say as I stand up. He looks up and turns around to look at Gage. His eyes dark and he grabs my hand and pulls me after him. "See you find someone else to work for, Rose." Gage says and I turn around to glare at him. "Leave me alone. I just work for him." I snap at him and he laughs. "You never really had it in you...you still belong to me." He says and this time I hear Kaz speak. "Leave the girl alone...she obviously doesn't want to be bothered by you." Kaz snaps and pushes me into the car and drives off.
