Chapter 14
{Rose}
I feel this pain in my side and everything else hurts like Hades and I can't movie. "Rose! Rose what happened?!" Kaz screams and I slowly turn my head to look at my phone. "I'm here Kaz. I'm here." I say in a soothing voice and I hear him breath a sigh of relief, like the weight of the world was lifted off of his shoulders. "I need to hang up so that I can call the ambulance." I say and he starts to freak out. "No no no! Don't you dare hang up on me!" He shouts and I grab my phone. "I'm sorry Kaz. I love you." I say before I hang up on him. I dial nine-one-one(9-1-1) and wait for it to answer. "Hello this is nine-one-one, what's your emergency?" A lady on the other end says and I smile to myself. "Hi. Ummmm,I just got hit by a car and I can't move." I say and wait for the lady on the phone to talk again. "Can you please tell me your name?" She asks and I nod my head before I answer. "My name's Rose. What's your name?" I ask and I think that she's taken aback. "I'm Mary." She says and I nod my head. "That's a nice name. What's your favorite color?" I say and she's taken aback again. "Neon green. Can you tell me where you are?" She says and I think back for a second. "I'm down the street from Tony's pizza shop." I answer and I hear sirens. "The ambulance is coming." I say and she breaths a sigh of relief. "Thank you Mary." I say before I see a guy run up to me. "Are you Rose?" He asks and I nod my head. "Yes that's me." I say to him before I go back to the phone. "I have to go Mary. I'll see you later." I say before I hang up the phone. They get me out of the car and I grab the pizza boxes before I walk over to the ambulance truck and they check me out.
"Rose! Where are you Rose?!" Kaz screams and I wave my hands before I get up and walk over to him with the two boxes of pizzas in my hands. When I get over to him he wraps me in a tight hug. "I can't breath Kaz." I say and he let's go of me. "Are you okay?" He asks and I just lie and nod my head. "Yeah. I'm fine." I say then look at him guiltily. "I'm sorry about the car. I saw the person run the red light and I couldn't stop fast enough,and...I'm so so so sorry Kaz." I say and he kisses me on the lips to shut me up. When he pulls back to look at me,he presses his forehead against mine. "I could care less about the car. I'm just happy that you're safe." He says then pulls me after him before we get in his car and drive home.
We walk into the house after Kaz parks and I look around for a few minutes before I walk into the back then into my bedroom. I start to take off my clothes when I feel someone's (Kaz's) arms wrap around me and put me on his lap before he turns me around to face him. "I'm so sorry Rose." He says and I look at him like he's crazy. "What are you apologizing for?" I ask and he sighs aloud. "I should've never let you leave the house. It's my fault that you're hurt. I was supposed to keep you safe,but I couldn't even do that." He says and I laugh. "That wasn't your fault. You couldn't have stopped that from happening." I say but he still looks upset/down in the dumps. I hook two fingers under his chin and make him look at me. "It wasn't your fault. Okay? You did nothing wrong. Please understand that." I say and he nods his head. He pulls me closer to him and I yelp out in pain when his hand touches my side. Kaz lets go of me and gets up to grab his phone. "I'm taking you to the hospital." He says and my eyes widen. "I'm not going to the hospital. Call my dad." I say and he looks at me like I'm bat crap crazy. "Call my dad okay!" I yell at him and he nods his head before he calls him.
