The next morning I awoke with a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I was uneasy but didn't have a reason to be. Grabbing my phone to see two missed calls from work made me dread getting out of bed. Staring up at the ceiling I thought about the past week, it almost seemed unreal. I had never been the type of girl to attract the attention of anyone, especially not boys! I jumped after hearing a pounding on my door, I debated getting up or ignoring it, however the knock was persistent. I got up hair a mess, pajamas, and smeared make up and cracked open the door to see Savannah. Savannah was a girl that probably woke up looking perfect. Her hair never seemed to move out of place, her make up if she wore any was always perfection, and no matter what clothing she had on she always looked beautiful. She was the type of girl that I would have hated in high school and would have never thought I could be friends with. She was grasping her laptop and pushed open the door as soon as the door was slightly cracked.
"You have to see this!" Savannah yelled setting up her laptop on kitchen bar. "Connor uploaded this video this morning!"
"Ok?" I said closing the door. "I'm confused, it's Tuesday, and he didn't say anything to me about any special videos."
"Well maybe that's because it's about you!" Savannah sheirked pressing play on the YouTube screen.
"Hey guys, it's Connor! And I know what you're thinking. 'Connor it's not Monday' but this is a special occasion. So let's get to it! Over the past week I have gotten to know a great girl who shared with me some photographs of this awesome amusement park. Well apparently this kiddie park in Indiana was closed down and is slated for demolition in two months. However it holds lots of valuable memories and sentimental feelings for not only the girl I spoke to but for many. So after doing some research I discovered that the property is still for sale up untill a week before the demolition date. So I think that it would be a totally awesome opportunity to take up donations to try and save this poor little amusement park from destruction. I really think that we can do it! Any little amount will help and if we do it I would like donate the park to the people of Indiana. So for more information and ways to donate go to www.savethepark4z.com, links are down below..."
Savannah hit pause clicking the link below taking us to another website, it loaded up to web page covered with my photos, and mulitple tabs including: donate, the story, memories, and Zoey. I wanted to die, before I knew it I felt tears stream down my face. "I think it's safe to say he likes you!" she yelled. "So how happy are you?"
My tears grew into sobs as I collapsed to the floor, curling into a ball. Never before had I shared something so deep with anyone. That was a memory I valued because of brother and now almost 2 million subscribers and who ever else searched the web would know about it. I didn't want their charity, I wanted the park to be left alone, left how my brother remembered it. Too much attention was being drawn to my safe haven, I couldn't take it. I felt Savannah's bony hand pat me on the back.
"Do you want me to do something orrrr..." she spoke softly, I could tell I was making her uncomfortable. Sniffed up all my tears and put on my best fake smile before breaking into the best fake happy voice I could.
"I'm fine. I just need to shower and get ready, I think I have to work." I stood closing the laptop and handing it to Savannah. "See you later." She slowly walked out, I knew at that point that my fake happiness wasn't believable.
As I crawled into back into bed, my sobs began again. My phone rang but I left it go, I was in no mood to deal with the outside world today. I yanked the covers over my head and cried myself into a deep sleep.
