I stayed up all night packing, by the time morning came I was so hyped up on coffee that I was ready to hit the road and start towards my new world. With my trailer loaded, I headed up to take one last round of the apartment making sure I hadn't left anything. I walked into the open door to find Savannah sitting in the middle of my living room on the floor.

"Hi," she said tears streaming down her face.

"Hi," I said sitting down in front of her.

"I'm sorry,"

"I'm sorry,"

"I really am, I overreacted. It's your life, you should be able to live it how you want it. Whether that means moving a billion times, leaving amazing friends and boys, or quitting your job..." she trailed off looking up at me. "Ok this may come as a shock to you, but I've never really had any close friends before. The closest ones I had were the ones I would watch daily in YouTube videos, and maybe I am just a fangirl, but I really thought that me and you were hitting it off!"

"Savannah, I truly did value your friendship but moving away had nothing to do with you. It's just what I do, I start over new in a place where nobody knows my name. I shut other people out, it's easier that way." Savannah looked up tears streaming down her cheeks, but a smile on her face.

"Call me when you get there so I know your safe?" she said standing, arms stretched out for a hug. "Even if you never talk to me again, at least let me know your safe?"

"I can do that," I said stepping into her tight bear hug.

"Well, I'll get out of your hair now I suppose," she said stepping outside, "See ya!"

With that moment I realized that I had messed up, the lump in my throat got bigger. I had let myself get attached to this place, to these people. I threw my apartment key on the counter and headed to the trailer. Leaving the first girl friend I had ever had behind me.
