Chapter 3

"Poe, wait!" I said. He turned around. "What should I sing? I don't know the lyrics!"

"Here they are." He said and handed me some papers. "Poe, I can't learn a song in a few hours!" I said as I read throught the lines. "We'll see." He simply said and let me alone. This guy is weird.

I stayed in my room reading the lyrics over and over again, but it didn't work. I didn't even know how high or low I should sing the song. I will be a fool if I'll go like this.

After some time I decided it's a lost fight and I went to change. Maiby Poe will help me in the car. After all, it's his song.

I didn't know what to wear. It was between a red summer dress or some old jeans with a white top. I decided to go with the jeans because I am 21 who knows what those DJs have in mind. What could I say more, my hair was a mess, my feet looked horroble because of that football match I had last week with the boys and I accidentally spilled my bye-bye under eye on the floor. Great. Just great. I somehow found some trainers, I let my hair be because after i ran with my hand through it it looked way better and for my eye bags I evetually got some of the last drops of my lotion. I looked at me.

"You are the ugliest thing I ever saw."

"Don't tell Rey that!"

"I was talking to you!"

I looked down. This year in colleage that guy, Hux, said that to us, Ren the same. The most popular (and the dumbest) guys in our school. I ignored it and took my phone and the papers and ran to the boy's car. Apparently all the crew was coming. I entered it and they looked at me like at one of the wonders of the world. "Jyn, you look stunning!" Rey said and hugged me. She was wearing also jeans and a top, but she had her top black. "Rey, you have to help we with the song." I said as we sat down. "Okay everybody, listen!" She said. "This girl needs help let's do it!" She yelled. "BB, would you make the honour?" She asked and BB patted the chair in front of him. "Of course." "Finn?" "Here is the string." He said and tied it to the chair in front of him. "Okay, Jyn, listen up. You just have to sing with me and a small solo part, but only a few lines, ok?" "Ok." "BB, turn it on." She said and BB started punching the chair. Then Finn started poking the string. She pointed at me and she smiled to me.

She sand and poked me like she always does on Facebook. "See you could do it?" She asked and played with my hands. I smiled at her as the car stopped. "C'mon everybody, let's get in the arena." Poe said. We all got down, the heat making us sweat in the moment we let the car. "Summer..." Finn said and put his hand on the top of his head. I sighed and we got in the backstage place. It smelled and I saw the most known DJs just walking with their bags and as one entered the men part they already started making weird sounds. I would never expect that from Avicii, for example. Rey walked with me in the women area. We let our bags on some benches and I was a little surprised to see not more than 15 ladies. "Jyn, your lipstick." Rey said and turned my head to her as she had already prepared the make-up pack for this.

After like half an hour I heard Cassian's voice on the stage announcing the second night of concerts. His voice was still driving me crazy.

The moment when we would perform was getting closer. I was starting to have goosebumps. The moment came and we walked to the stage. "Rey I can't." I said and she looked at me. "Jyn-" "Rey let me go, please." I say and I don't know how, but the last DJ pushed me and hit someone's chest. I looked up and saw Cassian.
