Why does every bit of angst in my life here so far always end up in the bathroom?

Tom and I walked up to the next floor, barely paying attention. Though we didn't speak, it was obvious our only intention was to get past the sixth floor without shedding a tear. Even though cheating would be easy, Tom was no cheater. He would play dirty, and would bend a rule, just never break one. I found that aspect kind of hot, considering he kept true to his word.

The fourth floor was filled with weird attractions such as, broken T.V's audio playing, fallen books, and sculptures of the effect that comes with smoking. Those spooked me.
Tom seemed uncomfortable. "Thomas, lighten up. If these make your uncomfortable, you'll defiantly have soiled the deal" I commanded. Tom huffed, but at least tried to not get weirded out.

Before we knew it, Tom and I were in the line for the sixth floor. I got a peek from inside, and it looked different the rest of the floors. It seemed like a story, told with weird sculptures, exhibits, and mostly sand dolls. It was plain creepy. Despite this, I wasn't really freaked out. Tom was the one that was going pale. Unbelievable, the only time I want him to man-up he gets his period.

The line went smaller and smaller, until only two people were ahead of us. One was a male with an obviously fake wig, and the other was wearing a huge hat that seemed feminine, and both were wearing sunglasses. They kind of reminded me of the people from the airport, but I didn't read much into it. They went inside, and soon Tom and I were the next victims of getting of getting woke. "Next!" The man called, and Tom and I scattered inside.

Erie music was playing, as we were surrounded by the dolls, weird paintings, and some statues. I was bored and a little scared. "Come on, let's just walk through." I offered, but the stubborn Brit didn't move. "Tom?!" I nudged. "....let's just look around a bit." Tom said. I took a deep breath and accepted the weirdness that was around us.

Tom walked up to a table, with a little doll with black hair. She was burnt, and the table around her was surrounded by randomly placed objects you'd find in a home. "Cool, fire exhibit, can we move?!" I whined. Tom was observing it, and took a longer time than I did.

"It looks like she was part of an explosion."

"Tom, it was a fire. Trust me I know what explosion marks look like."

"Not literally, just- don't you get it?"

"No actually, I don't understand it at all."

Tom glared at me, and began walking away. Was he connecting with the weird art? I didn't believe "See-it-how-it-is" Tom was actually relating to the doll plus blowtorch. We kept walking.

Tom kept stopping at the black disoriented pictures, and studied them. He kept being all weird about them too. Usually I was the one who got a emotional, but no giant robots were around to upset me. I was pretty dead inside, but Tom was a hurricane.

Many minutes of that was over, and we were walking away from the strange room. "Tom, are you ok?" I asked. He looked away, with his tall hair turned back at me. "Lets go to the bathroom quickly, I need to piss." Tom commanded. We hadn't had any water, so I was confused to how his bladder was full. Before I could think of unholy thoughts, I agreed and we walked together.

It was one big room, which meant I had to wait outside. Luckily, the toilet wasn't over fifteen feet away, so I didn't have to worry about being shocked. Tom went inside and I waited....and waited,... and waited. He was fast in the bathroom, so I found it suspicious that it was taking over five minutes when it should take negative thirteen. I listened closely to see if he was even using the bathroom.

No sounds of pissing, drying, or washing. I let the world get quieter so I could hear more clearly, until I heard, crying?! No way, I had to take a closer look. After a few moments, I decided it's definitely crying. Just to be sure, I opened the door a little to see Tom on the floor red-faced with a blank expression. If it wasn't for the gasp I let out Tom wouldn't have noticed me.

He looked up at me, and got up slowly. "Congratulations, you've found angsty Tom! Your prize is bragging rights." Tom joked sarcastically, and started walking away. I grabbed his wrist, and dragged him closer to me. AT LAST I WAS DOMINATE!! Seriously though, I was worried for Tom.

"Hey, what happened?" I asked softly. Considering the times Tom tried comforting me ended up in flames, I was trying a different approach. "It's nothing." He huffed, but his pink cheeks said otherwise. "Tom, please. I won't nudge but you can trust me." I said. Tom sighed, and looked me in my eye, I assume. "The art was deep, deeper than I thought." Tom admitted.

"I thought you didn't read art."

"Ha, so did I."

"Do you...wanna talk about it?"

"Actually.."

I smiled. "If you don't want to, it's fine. If you want to talk about it, I'd be glad to help. Just don't force yourself." I said again. I knew how to deal with sadness properly, unlike someone. "Thank..you?" Tom asked, obviously confused. I shook my head, signaling "anytime". He than hugged me, which caught me off guard. His short body hugging mine was kinda weird, and cute. I hugged back. Than we just talked for the longest time, laughing about the tit pics and the weird music.

And somehow, I could tell we just got a little closer. If I could kiss him I would, but it was just such a rich feeling to actually befriend Tom.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Yeah." Tom replied as we rode down the elevator. Edd and Matt were eagerly awaiting us, but Tom and I both were gonna lie till we die. According to him it wasn't cheating, since lying wasn't against the rules. "Sorry Edd, but neither of us felt anything!" I chipped. Edd laughed as Matt raised an eyebrow. "Than what was that crying session in the bathroom?" Edd asked. I went red but Tom played it cool.

"Your bluffing." He said. "Nope, we followed you!" Matt said. "So that means all tomorrow you gotta gay with each other!" Edd roared. Tom and I looked at each other. "Excuse me." I said, walking away. Once I was out of view, I crouched down swiftly and made a "yes!" Sign with my arm. Than I walked back.

"So what's next?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"I wanted to get the good parts done first, get ready ladies,", Edd said.

"It's time for the Statue of Liberty."
