Lassitude ~8

Cameron Dallas' pov

Opening my eyes, I look over to my wife fast asleep. I smile and sit up to check the time. Six in the morning. I sat up and gently reach over so I can put an arm around Ri and kiss her cheek. She stirs slightly and mumbles a good morning.

"How are feeling?" I ask gently so I'm not too loud. She flips her body to face me and wraps her arms around my neck.

"I think my morning sickness is gone," she smiles tiredly. "How was your sleep?"

"Fantastic next to you." She reaches over to kiss my cheek.

"Are you ready for today?"

"I'm more than ready. I'm very excited. Have we decided to find out the gender today or find out the gender later?"

"I'm not a hundred percent sure. What do you think?"

"Whatever you'd like," I smile and pull her shirt up slightly. I notice the slightest bump, barely visible and I smile. I place my hand on her stomach and she smiles as she looks towards her stomach.

"I think I want to find out today."

"Alright," I smile and I sit up. I help her up and pull her shirt back down and lean over to kiss her nose. Her nose crinkles and eyes shut slightly. "What do you think the gender of the baby will be?"

"I think a boy. How about you?"

"A baby girl," I smile. "I'm happy with either as long as my wife is happy."

"You're so sweet Cam. I love you."

"I love you even more Ri." I look towards the alarm clock to read six twenty now.

"It's really nice to have you here. I've missed you a lot." My heart swells with guilt. I know I wanted to finish the show, but it also takes time away from Ri and the kids.

"I've missed being around you guys. I'm really sorry about yesterday."

"You're working hard for a great reason Cam. You don't have to apologize about that."

"I meant for the other thing I said last night," I say lightly. She gives me a sad smile and looks down.

"You didn't mean to. I promise you'll be great Cam. You're an amazing dad to Grace and Ryan, who loves you both very much."

"Which reminds me." I pull the covers back and swing my legs over the bed and reach of my shirt. "I should make the three of you some breakfast and maybe I can pack the kids lunch today."

"I can help?"

"Nope, you can watch and relax. Today, it's my day to do some of the house work with Natalia. Plus, I'm sure you'd like to spend time with your brother, Jack and G."

"I'm excited to see them." We both get out of bed and start to dress. Ri walks over to me as I put a pair of shorts on. She wraps her arms around my waist from behind and attempts to put her chin on my shoulder. She is shorter than me and I smile at the reflection of us.

"Shorty."

"I'm three inches off Cam," She laughs lightly and tries to jump onto my back. I chuckle as I help her up by squating a little and wrap my arms around her legs to steady her. She is now safely on my back and she leans over to kiss my cheek.

"I'm guessing that I'm carrying you down?"

"Yes please." My wife is adorable. I walk over to the door and open it and walk out the room with her on my back. I walk down the hall and I carefully walk down the steps that leads into the kitchen. I felt Ri shiver from behind me and I chuckle. I help her down and place her on the counter so I can kiss her.

She wraps one arm around my neck and she places her hand against the side of my head. I can tell she is smiling and that she loves this. She misses when I do this to her.

"Babe," I pull away slightly so my lips brushes against hers. "I should start breakfast for the kids. They'll be up soon." She nods and slowly pulls away from me. I walk over to the stove and take two pans hanging and place them both of the stove. I walk over to the fridge to grab eggs and bacon. "What time does time does Natalia get here?" I ask in wonder. Usually when I leave for work, it's early and she wouldn't be here.

"I'm here Mr.Dallas." I turn around to see Natalia walking into the kitchen with a few groceries.

"Hi Natalia," I smile. "It's nice to see you."

"You too Mr.Dallas. It has been awhile since I've seen you, except yesterday. It's great to see you again."

"Yeah, I'm glad to be home. Excited to spend time with everyone." I place the bacon in the pan and cracked a few eggs as I turned the stove on.

"Have you received the cookies I have baked for you?"

"Yes, thank you Natalia. They were very delicious. My favorites ones is definitely the mint chocolate chip ones. You're a natural." I turn from the stove to look towards my wife and Natalia smiling.

"Thank you Mr.Dallas. I was thinking of making those kinds tonight."

"You're amazing." I flip the eggs as I hear someone coming down the steps.

Alarms are annoying

It's actually chilly in here

I should probably get up. I groan slightly as I flip my body under the covers and slowly open my eyes to a squint. I guess it's actually time for me to get up as I see my phone vibrating and moving around towards the end of my lamp table.

I quickly reach for my phone and unplugged it as I turned the alarm off. I check through snapchat to make sure I keep my streak with my closest friends in school.

Checking the date, I smile to myself. Tomorrow is the big game day. Sunday will be Grace's and I's fourteenth birthday. I'm really excited for my twin to see her gift from me. This weekend will be spectacular. I quickly get up to change into school uniform.

I frown slightly as I look around for my tie. I walk around my room as I buttoned up my white collar shirt and then grab a pair of socks to put on. I find my tie by my study desk and put my shoes on before grabbing my bed and walking out of my room.

I walk the wooden floors of the hallways as I had the far corner room of the house as I make my way for the second set of stairs that leads to the kitchen. I have my bag on one shoulder and held my tie in my hand.

Once I have reached the stairs, the smell of breakfast fills my nose and I smile to myself as I make my down the stairs. Once I reach the last step, I look up to see two backs to me and I think I see my dad.

"Dad!" I smile once I notice it is him. All three heads turn towards me and I walk over to my dad who is by the stove cooking.

"Hey bud," my dad smiles and he hugs me. I hug back happy to see him. It's really nice to see him here for a change in the morning.
