What have I gotten myself into? This was a mistake. A huge mistake. If I got caught, I'd be publicly humiliated and my life would go back to the hell it was before. The only reason I agreed to help the human was because I knew I couldn't live my life without knowing what could have been. He was right. I'd be asking myself 'what if' forever. Until the day I died. The temptation was too great.

I pace around my room, at war with myself. I could still change my mind. I could tell him to leave and pretend it never happened. But what if? I had to do this. My time to make an impact on the world has come and I'm not going to throw away my shot. The human's voice pulls me from my reverie.

" Hey um, Ren. Where are those clothes you were talking about earlier?" The human's voice is muffled by the door.

I let out an exasperated breath. Right, the clothes. I absolutely forgot. " Hold on, I'll get them." I say loud enough so he can hear me. I pull open my closet door and rummage through the hangers. I had a few of my parent's clothes in here just in case I needed a disguise or something. I find some of my father's clothes. A simple navy blue shirt with some black pants. I hastily pull the clothes off the hangers and rush to the bathroom door. " Open the door and I'll hand them to you."

The door open a crack and a hand pokes out. I shove the clothes into the human's hands and the hand retreats back into the bathroom. I close the door and continue to pace. But it isn't the same, my train of thought is gone. I sigh and sit down on the bed. Hopefully I was making the right choice.
