"Jasmine, I think I'm menopausal!" Starr said to me one day in the middle of October.

"How? You're only nineteen!" I questioned.

"I'm not on my period, and I'm three weeks late!"

"Are you pregnant?"

"What does that have anyhtring to do with it?"

"If your pregnant, then you don't have periods hun. Did you and Tate do it on your honeymoon?"

"Yeah, but I'm still confused.

"Shit, follow me."

We walked across the mall, and I dragged her into the drug store. I picked up the first pregnancy test that I coulod find, and I lead her to the bathroom. "What are we doing in here?"

"Pee on this stick." I said as I threw the test at her.

She went into one of the stalls, and I stood watch for her. She came out after a while, and she handed me the test. "Put it on the sink! I ain't going to tuch it."

"Now what?" She asked as she did what I told her to.

"Now, we wait."

We waited for what seemed like was forever, but it was only three minutes. When the little pink cross showed up, I shrieked. "What does that mean?"

"It means that you're prego."

Starr then feinted. I caught her right before she crashed to the ground, and I moved her to the wall. I got some paper towel, and I wetted it down with cold water. I applied the towel to her face, and I waited for her to come through.

"What happened?" She asked when she woke up again.

"You feinted, but I caught you."

She tried to get up, but I had to help her. We started to go out of the bathroom when I remembered that we forgot to get rid of the test. "You need to chose now if you want to keep it or get rid of it. Adoption isn't an option, and we'll have to get rid of the baby the hard way if you don't want to keep it."

She didn't say anything, but I could tell that she was thiinking about it. We to the plaza, and we found all of the guys hanging out together. They were throwing a rubber ball that was supposed to be Cleta's. "Are you going to tell Tate?"

"yeah, but how should I do it?"

"Are you going to tell anyone else?"

"I guess so, but that would be even harder to do!"

"Do you want me to do it for you?"

"Would you?"

"Hey everyone, Starr's prego!" I yelled.

Everyone looked up, and I could see Tate's face go red. We walked closer, and I could also see that his eyes were full of tears. "Really?" Tate asked Starr when we reached them.

"I guess so. I took a test and it said that I was."

Tate hugged her, and I looked everyone else's face. Bob and George were smiling, and Jake's mouth was open. "Your going to catch flies," I said as I walked up to his side.

He shut his mouth, but he was still shocked. I could tell by the foggy look in his eyes, and the fact that he wasn't moving. Bob and George went up to Starr to congradulate her, and I dragged Jake up with them.

When Starr finally got me away from everyone else, she told in a whisper her decision. "I'm going to keep it."
