Lolly's parents adore her older sister, Tanya. They buy Tanya lots of things and spends time with her, taking her to eat or to the cinema. But they pay little attention to Lolly. They often leave her out or to the cinema.

Although Lolly tries really hard to be 'good', her parents make her feel no one will ever love her. Lolly has no self confidence, and she is struggling to keep up at school.
