Elsa meets with Aphrodite and Lily after school, and starts to discuss the two teens. "They haven't made any move. Maybe we thought wrong, and they're just normal people." Says Aphrodite. Elsa shakes her head. "Maybe." She's not so convinced. Something just isn't right about them. The threesome walk towards the buses. "Uh, oh. This doesn't look good." Elsa mutters. The two teens are walking to them. The girl steps around behind, while the boy slips a knife from his sleeve. "Come with me quietly and no one gets hurt." Elsa, instead, looks at the knife. "So, the old knife-in-the-sleeve trick. You do know that it's illegal to carry a knife around, don't you?" "Elsa, he has a knife! This is no time for playing with words!" Hisses Aphrodite. The boy smiles. "It won't be illegal be for long." At their confused faces, he continues. "You don't know, do you?" "Know what?" Asks Lily nervously. "You know what? You'll find out. Now come on." Elsa refuses to move. "Why are you doing this?" "Because I need to. Now, without further ado." He motions them forward. Without warning, Elsa lunges at the boy. She sweeps his knife arm away with her right arm, spins around and brings the heel of her hand up to his head. "RUN!" She shoves her shocked friends ahead and they fly like the wind with the girl on their tail. The boy recovers and joins the chase. "How did you do that?!" Lily shouts. Elsa chuckles. "I've always wanted to try that. I got that from reading the Rangers Apprentice series." Aphrodite groans. "Of course." "What?! It works!" Elsa shouts. Then they realize something. The buses are gone. The boy sees that, too. "Ha! Give up now, before you go through a lot of trouble for nothing!" "Never! 'A quitter never wins, and winners never quit!'" The girls continue, dodging cars. The drivers don't realize what's happening right in front of them. They reach Lawson Park just when the sun sets. The two teens are far behind, so they stop for a rest. Elsa comes up with a plan. "We have to split up. Aphrodite, you see if you can get help. Lily, you make your way home and see if they come after you. If they do, call the police. I'll try to find my sister's place and call the police. If nothing works, meet back here at one o'clock in the morning. Go!" The girls split with them going in three different directions. Elsa quickly ducks behind a tree, seeing her sister's place in the direction of the two teens. How is she going to get past them? The two teens find themselves with a problem. "You go after the one that went left. The police station is that way. If she makes it, hide. The police won't believe her story without evidence. I'll go after the girl. If I can just find out where she went." The boy tells his friend. "What about their friend?" "She's not as likely to call the police. Now Go!" The teen girl takes off. The boy walks slowly past the tree where Elsa is hiding. He doesn't see her. Quietly, Elsa slips around the tree and takes off. "Hey!" The boy spotted her. She pushes herself faster. There are people around, but they don't recognize the danger. Knowing the town better than the boy, Elsa gets farther ahead. Knowing the town doesn't improve her running. Elsa collapses. She is not that fit. She may be fitter than most kids, but that's not that hard with the world's idea of fitness. "Elsa? What are you doing here?" Elsa looks up to see her former Corporal, Tim Heane. "Ummm. I'll explain if you can find somewhere private to talk." Tim sees the urgency in her eyes, so he motions her inside his house.
