Eunice jumps into Mordeci's car, more than ready to get away from the hospital. She's finally going home! Well, this term's home, anyway. She's never had a permanent home. If someone asks what she wants the most, she would answer, a home.
A few minutes later, they arrive at the temporary house.
It's not much to look at. It's a pretty small house, with rooms the size of a closet. For sure, she would get picked on for it. All her life, Eunice has been taught to be content in all things. So she is content with the house. It's not big, it's not fancy, but it provides shelter, and protection from the cold.
As soon as they're inside, Mordeci turns into father mode. "Alright, Eunice, go have a shower. I can smell you no matter where I am." Eunice shoots a piercing glare at him. "Oh, come on. I don't smell that bad." Mordeci shoos her towards the bathroom. "Go on. And be quick! I'm ordering pizza for dinner. If you're not out in half hour, I'm eating all the pizza." Eunice giggles, and does so. It is good to be back.
Ten minutes later, best time yet, Eunice is out and more than ready for some proper food. The people at hospitals are really picky about eating healthy food.
Before long, the pizza arrives, and Eunice and Mordeci set about to eating it.
After a few minutes, Eunice suddenly thinks about something. "Hey, Mordeci." "Yes?" How are we going to find my twin?" She says, putting emphasis on the word, twin. She still isn't used having a twin. Mordeci thought for a while, just to keep Eunice in suspense. "I managed to get the hospital records of that day. There were three births that day. All three have moved to different places since then. At the moment, the closest one is Orange."
"Really? When are we going there?"
"Tomorrow morning, 3:00a.m." Mordeci replies just as Eunice takes a drink of coca cola. Sphew! Eunice shoots the coke out of her mouth, at Mordeci. He quickly hits the floor, but not quick enough. The coke catches his shoulder. "THREE O'CLOCK!"
"Eunice!" Mordeci shouts. "You should know better than that!" His scolding falls on deaf ears. "How will I wake up that early? I need rest. Will I survive so little sleep? It's not as if Orange is 22 hours from here. It's so unfair!" "EUNICE SVINSKI!" Mordeci yells at the top of his lungs. Eunice shuts up, and stares at Mordeci. Mordeci continues while furiously attacking the brown on his white t-shirt, which is sure to leave a stain. "No complaining, young lady!" She hates it when he calls her that. "You are waking up, at that time, so you can go to school." Eunice quickly attempts to bite back a complaint about school. She fails miserably. "School? Since when do I have to do school? You taught me everything I need to know." Mordeci nods. "That is true, but I am sure you can help me find her, if you go to each school." Eunice sits back down, glum. "Fine." I guess that makes sense. Maybe I might make some real friends. Eunice perks up at the thought of friends. "How long are we staying?" "As long as we need to. As soon as we find the girl, she will go in her parent's place."
