5 Stages of Change (A Kuroko no Basket Fanfic)

[Kuroko Tetsuya] Introduction

It was in middleschool when you met the future phantom sixth man. Being the bookworm you were, you were buying a new book at the bookstore when you notice him. He was wearing your school's uniform and looked around your age yet you swear you haven't seen him around at school. You were holding a book about misdirection when he suddenly popped up besides you;

"Ano, will you be buying that?" he asked blankly making you shout in surprise making people look at you two. "I apologize for scaring you,"

"A-ah it's okay. And no, I was just browsing. Do you need it?" You asked closing the book and offering it to him.

"Hai, thank you very much," he said getting the book from your hands gently.

"May I ask your name? You're from Teiko too right?" you inquired smiling.

"I am Kuroko Tetsuya, and yes I am also from Teiko. I am also your seatmate (Last Name)-san,"

"Ahh Nice to meet you Kuroko-kun.... Chotto... you're my seatmate?! But it's always empty?!" You blanched at him, how could you not notice him.

"I was always present, you just may have not notice me," his pokerface was getting to you.

"A-h. I'm sorry then Kuroko-kun... Then let's be friends now!" You said feeling a bit guilty of not noticing him until now.

Kuroko gave a small- very small smile making you blush a bit on how cute he was, "I would like that (Last Name)-san,"

You chatted for awhile as you two browse for more books. In the end you got (Random Book/s) and he had 2 more books about misdirection making curious why he needed them.

"Ne, Kuroko-kun. Why did you buy books for misdirection?" You cant help but asked.

"I am studying for a technique I can use for basketball. Someone told me my low presence can be a weapon, and I am not good at shooting so I was thinking of passing," he replied as you two walked together.

"Basketball?" You blinked, "so you're part of the basketball club huh?"

"Hai, how about you (Last Name)-san?"

"Oh I'm in (Club of your choice),"

You found talking to him really easy and relaxing, and you didn't know why but you appreciated it.

"Ah do you mind if we make a stop? I would like to buy some Vanilla Milkshake," he said as you were getting near Maji Burger.

"Ah it's okay," you nodded "I'll just wait out here,"

When he went in, you fixed your things to pass time. Putting your new book/books in your bag so you won't need to carry them.

"(Last Name)-san," the sudden voice besides you made you jump.

"G-Gah Kuroko-kun!" You said in surprise, will you ever get used to that?

"I apologize," he said the sipped the milkshake in his hand.

You laughed a bit, "Let's just go home, it's getting late,"

Kuroko nodded while observing your form as you closed your bag and sling it on your shoulder. And when you parted in an intersection, you couldn't help but feel that meeting the teal-haired boy will bring things that you've never expected you'll have.

And you can't help but be excited for tomorrow.
