It was one morning that as you were brushing your hair at your vanity mirror when you accidentally made the frame of you and Akashi to fall and break. A murky feeling slowly built up inside you as you picked it up, careful not to get wounded less you wanted your Teiko uniform to get dirty.
"(First Name)-sama? Let me clean that, you might get hurt!" your personal maid exclaimed, putting down the laundry basket she was carrying and rushing to clean up the shards of the frame's glass.
"Ahh. Hai," you mumbled as you looked at the picture; it was when you and Akashi were 12. Akashi brought you to a garden filled with beautiful roses for your birthday and prepared a picnic there and the picture was taken by his butler as you two were sitting on the mat. "Please let it be nothing," you whispered before standing up and heading down to eat and leave for school.
--
"Ne (Last Name)chin, if you're not gonna get up you'll be late for lunch," a lazy voice snapped you out of your deep thoughts as the owner stood next to your table, towering over you as he munched on some pocky.
"Ah, gomen Murasakibara-kun," you quickly fixed your things and went to the cafeteria with the tall boy. You only had Murasakibara in your section out of all the Kiseki no Sedai and the titan-like boy had taken a liking to you since you always behaved like a mother to him.
"What were you thinking about (Last Name)chin?"
"Ah, nothing important don't worry about it."
"Ehhh? But you don't just think of nothing. You're smart and organized like Akachin,"
A red hue appeared on your cheeks and you just gave him a look which made him pout. "Hai~ just saying," he said as he munched on another snack.
"Ahh there you are Murasakibaracchi! (Last Name)cchi!" Kise Ryota cheerfully waved from the table where everyone was. You two waved back and got your lunch then sat down, you next to Akashi and Murasakibara next to Midorima.
"Would you be able to stay back and watch practice again (First Name)?" Akashi turned to you making you hum.
"Yes, I probably can," you smiled with a nod.
"That's good to hear," he gave you a genuine smile before going back to his food so you also proceeded to eat your own, not noticing how the others were looking at you two knowingly.
-
You stopped in your tracks as you came late to their practice due to some favor of a teacher just to see Akashi and Murasakibara in a heated argument, which was unusual since the latter had always respected and followed Akashi.
"I mean, I don't feel like I'm going to lose at all," Murasakibara drawled out lazily as Akashi walked towards him. "Besides, I at least listened to you until now, Akachin, because I felt like I'd never be able to win against you. But lately, it feels like maybe that's no longer the case." You paled as anger flashed thru the usual calm-faced captain but the titan continued on, "I don't wanna follow directions from people weaker than me,"
Everyone stopped in shock at the sudden declaration as you suddenly felt cold, like your bad feeling from this morning would come true. The one-on-one between the two seemed like a flash to you as Akashi stood victorious, but his aura didn't seem like the Akashi Seijuro that you knew.
"Seijuro-kun? What happened to your eye?" you asked quietly as you two walked home later, dread filling up your every bone. "Wait no, are you even Seijuro-kun?"
The red head stopped at that and faced you, mismatched eyes criticizing you from head to toe that made you shudder. "Of course, who else would I be but Akashi Seijuro? Though I don't really have any use for you (First Name),"
Hurt coursed thru your veins but anger overwhelmed you because of the insult, "Use for you? What am I your pawn? I am not a thing you can use Seijuro!"
"Yes, you were always just a pawn. I have seen how the others were more at ease with you around. But now that things have changed, you no longer have any use to the basketball club. You don't even like the sport am I right?" he asked coldly, "So I would advise you to stop coming from now on, you don't give any merits towards victory and might distract the others."
Before he could say anything further you slapped him hard with your right hand surprising the male, anticipating tears he looked at you but saw none but pure fury in your face. "I am no one's pawn Akashi Seijuro! I knew you were just like all the others. Thank you for finally showing your true colors to me. Don't worry I won't bother you 'precious' team anymore," you spat before storming pass him leaving him dumbfounded.
The pain in your chest was overwhelming because of the sense of betrayal, you wanted to cry but your pride wouldn't let you. Akashi Seijuro wouldn't ever see you shed a tear because of him, that you promised yourself.
