(Makoto's POV)

I woke up feeling groggy. I was in that state where I didn't know where I was or who I was; my brain was just shut off. But then, excitement ran its way into my blood. A huge smile was plastered on my face. She told me that she loved me. I instantly remembered everything that had happened the night before and I couldn't help but blush. I wanted to spend time with her today as much as possible. I ran through all the things we could possibly do together in my head. The first priority was to go and buy her some clothes. But that was pretty much all we had to get done for the day, after that we would have the rest of the day off.

We could invite Gou to come shopping with us (since I needed a girls' taste in clothes and an idea of what stores to go to) and then we could meet Haru, Nagisa, Rei, and Rin at the beach for a picnic! The idea of having my friends and (Name) spending time with each other and getting to know each other left me ecstatic! I so desperately wanted them to become friends with this amazing girl. Having her as a part of our group would be perfect. They'd teach her what true, loving friendship is. They'd bring that cute little smile on her face every day. She was scared and shy around them right now, but they'd be able to help me break her out of her shell. I could see her now; smiling confidently and being afraid of nothing. Knowing she was safe with us. I wanted that more than words could describe.

I glanced at my alarm clock on my bedside table to see if it was a decent enough time to get ready for our day together. The clock read 8:47 am, perfect. I slowly slid myself out of the bed and onto the floor so I wouldn't wake her. I grabbed some clothes from my dresser and took one last peek at her before I left to shower. Her breathing was shallow; she was laying on her side holding my stuffed Orca close to her chest. I've never seen her face look more content until that moment. She looked genuinely happy and peaceful. I smiled at the lovely sight and crept my way out into the hall.

"Good morning Makoto how'd you and (name) sleep?" my mother called from the kitchen as I passed. It smelled like she was making eggs and bacon. I felt my stomach growl.

"We slept really well thanks," I smiled. " (Name) is still asleep. I'm planning on taking her clothes shopping with Gou and me, then going to the beach with everyone else. So I'm going to go take a quick shower."

"That sounds lovely," She cheered.

"She won't be uncomfortable around all those people so suddenly will she?" My father asked from the dining table where he was reading the paper.

"I think she'll be okay around my friends. I had them over yesterday and she seemed a little shy and scared, but she warmed up to them. And it's a Monday in the middle of summer so I don't think there will be many people needing new clothes any time soon; although, if she gets too uncomfortable I'll bring her home and Gou and I can go finish up the shopping. All I would need is her clothing sizes and the rest should be easy," I replied.

"Sounds good," he said. I smiled and started to walk away when my father added "Your mother and I are very proud of you by the way. You saved this young lady's life. I can't even begin to say how proud I am that you're our son," he smiled.

"Thank you guys so much it means a lot," I blushed, then headed towards the bathroom. From there, I showered, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. When I left the bathroom I found (Name) sitting in the living room reading The Lone Wolf to Ren and Ran. It was my favorite story as a child. It was about a baby wolf that got separated from its pack. As he was searching for his family, he made friends with other creatures living in the woods. I smiled and decided to join them by sitting on the floor facing the couch. Her voice was just like an angel's and she was smiling. I hoped this would become her favorite story as well.
