Sophomore Year
It's a week later when Louis finds out Liam and Harry have been friends and neighbors since they were little kids.
Liam was telling him the story of when him and Harry stupidly decided to try to jump from one roof to the other so they could have a sleepover. Liam had only been saved by Harry grabbing his arm and conveniently dislocating his shoulder.
But a dislocated shoulder is better then death if you'd ask Louis.
"I didn't even know you guys were friends. I sit by him in chemistry now. He's super nice, always helps me with my work and stuff." Louis says and Liam nods.
"That's Harry. Super nice and all." Liam says and Louis purses his lips and just looks straight ahead as they walk down the hall together.
"That's not much to say about someone you've known since you were practically in diapers." Louis says and Liam kind of half shrugs.
"Once we started high school we kind of drifted apart. We don't talk much anymore." Liam says and Louis hums.
But it's that day during lunch he sees Harry making his way over to the table with just a small bag of chips in hand. He's walking towards them but slows down when he realizes the table is full.
Louis shoves Zayn who shoves him back playfully, they continue to do so until Louis thinks there's enough room for Harry to sit. He looks back to where Harry had been standing but sees the boys' retreating figure, going off to the side of the school where some benches had been.
"You're all up in my space Louis." Zayn groans and shoves him back over.
"I was trying to make room for," Louis starts and then let's out a sigh, Harry's figure completely out of sight.
"Who? No one else sits with us." Zayn says and Louis just shakes his head, grabbing his pizza and taking another bite.
