summer before sophomore year

harry and louis decided to have a small wedding in the summer. they had it in a vineyard with their parents, siblings, close cousins and friends. harry spent the entire time before the wedding in emotional tears just thinking about louis waiting for him at the alter.

they honeymooned at the vineyard, family welcome to stay but harry and louis steered clear of them to just enjoy their time together. they went on many hikes which resulted in a picnic at the top of the mountain and then rushing back down as the sun began to set.

their final day, they decide to just relax.

"running the bath right now." harry says and kisses the back of louis' head. louis hums in appreciation, not removing his face from the pillow.

"do you want bubbles or bath salts or a bath bomb?" harry asks and rubs his fingers up and down louis' back. louis slowly opens his eyes, smiling at harry.

"how about bubbles. and a bomb. fuck it." he says with a chuckle. harry chuckles along and stands to go into the bathroom.

louis sighs and throws the sheets off him, cool air hitting his naked body. He finds harry in the tub, looking out the large window that showcased the hills and hills in front of their room.

"This place is beautiful." Louis says and steps into he hot bath. Harry hums, scooting over a bit so louis could lie next to him. Louis wraps both arms around Harry's waist, kissing the intense cut of his jaw. Over the years harry grew beautifully into his previously lanky body.

"We're gonna have to come back here every few years." Harry says and leans against Louis. Louis hums in agreement, closing his eyes in contentment.

"So, how do you feel now that you're ties to me for life?" Harry asks with a small smile. Louis smiles softly and brushes a hand into Harry's hair.

"Love it. I never thought I was gonna be the guy who married his high school sweetheart but here I am." Louis chuckles. Harry frowns and elbows him in the rib.

"I'm offended." Harry mumbles. Louis laughs and kisses his shoulder.

"I also didn't think my high school sweetheart would be a dude but here we are. Clearly I was an idiot." It's Harry's turn to laugh.

"Do you think we'll be together forever?" Harry asks quietly. He felt like a child asking the question, this week they had promised til death do us part, but it's a sentiment that people break all the time.

"Yes." Louis answers easily. Harry smiles, running a hand against Louis' cheek.

"Really?"

"Mmhm."

"Hm. Funny that, I agree." Harry says with a grin, Louis goes crinkly eyed and kisses his husband.

"Funny that indeed."
