Chapter 16

Ashton

I drove every where just to look for her. Then I drove through some shady neighborhood and found her at a park. She was being stabbed by some guy. I quickly went out of the car. "Hey! Get off of her!" I yelled pushing him away from her. He got scared and ran away flicking me off. I rolled my eyes and ignored her as I help her up.

" Abby?" No answer. She passed out as he left. "Abby!" No. This can't be happening. I quickly got my phone and called the police. My heart was racing as they picked up.

I got up and noticed I was in a room. I wasn't at the park. The thing I remembered was being stabbed by some crazy guy and everything going blank.

"She's awake!" I heard someone yell.

"Hey how do you feel?" Ashton asked as came into the room. "Okay I guess where am I?" "You're in the hospital. Do you remember what happened?" "Barely. I remember getting stabbed but that was it." "Get some rest. You'll be okay." I nodded as I turned over to the other side and fell asleep.

"Time to eat!" I heard a voice say as I watched a movie. I got up about an hour ago. I nodded as I sat up and thanked the nurse as she left the room. She brought me a salad. It didn't taste very good but I was hungry so at that point I didn't really care.

"You actually ate?" I nodded as I finished eating and laid down as I finished watching the movie. "I'm really proud of you Abby." "Thanks."

"I'm sorry about the email." He said looking at me. I looked down. "It's fine..." I said sighing. "No it's not. I should've told you sooner." "Who is it?" "I was waiting to tell you. I didn't want you to freak out or anything." "I won't."

"Okay it's your parents."

"What?" I said completely stocked. I'm really sorry."

I looked down and sighed without saying a word. "I want to be alone right now."

"Abby..." "Please. I'm tried." "Okay. Whenever you're ready to talk." I nodded and sighed as he left the room.

Why would my parents do that? They aren't even together anymore. My dad left me when I was a baby and got married and a baby with someone else. I didn't like going a lot but because of court I had to go when as said.

(An: I'm not really sure like how all of that works with court and stuff but my parents are divorced but we don't do court we work out weekends but I know people and have a friend who parents are divorced have to go to court which can be stressful but yeah)

My step dad hated me. Probably because he was jealous. He would starve me or hurt me any way he could when my mom would be at work. He acted so innocent around her just like how my stepmom would act around my dad. I hated it.

School wasn't any better. We moved a lot when they first got married. I was upset because I had to leave all my friends. I got made fun of a lot being called fat and stupid but I had a few friends. I wasn't even that fat. I got worried I would be fat because people made fun of me for eating too much. But I tried ignoring them most of the time but it was hard.

But then it all changed when one day my step dad got so tried of me and took me away while my mom had to stay for work late. He yelled at me to get out of the car then took off speeding. He had a beer bottle in his hand. He was drunk. It was was raining bad and he just left me outside in the rain in a parking lot.

No one found me until the next morning. That's when Ms.Peters saw me and brought me inside.

I'm actually curious to this day if anyone actually cared that I was gone. Did anyone even notice?

Probably not. Who knows what he told her. He's always lying. And he gets away with it. It makes me so mad because he complains about me lying but he's always doing it.

I lost hope of getting adopted years ago when I turned 13. And that was a few years ago. No one wanted me. When someone "adopted" me I didn't even last a whole week. People only wanted babies and little kids.

But then I finally got adopted by someone who cares about me.

I know it's hard when your parents are divorced but you get through it eventually

If you ever need someone to talk to I'm here for you all

But should I say Ashton has a girlfriend and put Bryana or Alissa? Alissa would be evil and stuff happens or I could do Bryana who's nice and sweet but something happens

Which one should I do?
