Names starting popping up on the screen.

"Okay...what did I say about innapropriate names?" I sighed. The kids just laughed and shared suspicious glances.

"Who is..." I internally sighed before saying, "Pussy slayer?"

A group of loud girls in the back start dying of laughter and one high fived a girl from a separate table. This is why I don't like playing kahoot.

"Ho- homoshreksual?" I read aloud.

"It's me!" Another girl yelled between laughs.

"Daddy69- you know what, let's just play." I gave up and pressed 'Start'.

The screen read,  Which of the following was the main conflict in The Scarlet Ibis?

"Fuck, we were supposed to read that?" one boy moaned.

"You're a dumbass, Carl." remarked another boy.

In the end, pussy slayer won first place by sheer determination to see that name at the top of the board. The room was louder than before and no amount of painkillers could fix the headache that I've had for the past week, so they weren't really helping.

"Everyone, quiet or I'm assigning an essay for you to do!" I shouted above everyone.

Only a few people listened. I looked up at the window and, at that moment, someone at stopped and looked back at me. "Today!" Cas mouthed, and walked on past.

_-_

I'm standing on their porch in front of their house. Their house is nice. It isn't huge or anything, but it isn't small, either. It's structure is made of some kind of rock and there's a rose bush in front of the window, complete with a bird house hanging above it. The grass is mowed, just like everyone elses in this neighborhood.

I take a deep breath, then ring the doorbell.

Ben answers. "Hey, Dean!" he greets me. He shakes my hand. "Come right in, I'm just finishing up dinner."

"Spaghetti." Cas says. He's dressed differently than he does in school. More...relaxed.

Ben walks back into the kitchen and leaves Cas and me alone. "You have a nice house." I say. "It's all very...domestic"

"Yeah, I guess." he says.

We walk into the kitchen and sit down at the table. It's a large  table, especially considering  there's only two people living here. There's  a clean, red tablecloth laid across the table and  an  arrangement  of  flowers in the middle. To the side is three stacked plates and silverware. I sit down, between Ben and Castiels' seats, because that's definitely the best metaphor for this situation.

Right. Probably too soon.

Ben walks in carrying the tray of spaghetti. He sets it down, then  passes out the three plates. "Alright!" He exhales. "Dig in!"

"This is delicious." I say.

"Thank you, spaghetti was Castiels' idea." Ben smiles. I look over to him. He's still quiet, looking down at his food.

It's awkward for a minute after that. I  clear my throat, then say, "So... How did you and Cas meet?"

"Ahh, we were college sweethearts." Ben is practically swooning at this point. "We were both psychology majors coincidentally, and studied  together a  lot. We  both  really  liked  each  other  a  lot  but  didn't  admit  it  for  a  long  time. Until Castiel one day  just... kissed me."

"Didn't know you were the type." I joked to Cas. He smirked.

"Yeah... I was going to be a psychologist like Ben. Didn't really work out." He took another bite.

"Do you like being a teacher, Dean?" Ben asked.

"So far, yeah. This is actually my first year teaching."

"Ah, it's Castiels second year." He chuckled. "I remember last year, he used to freak out all the time."

"Ben..." Cas interrupted.

"I'm sure Dean is going through the same thing, right?" He looked to me for an answer.

"I mean, I wouldn't say I freak out, but yeah, it's been..." I search for a word, "...experimental."

"At least it's almost Thanksgiving break, right?" Ben says, taking another bite.

"And then, what, seven more months?" I joke.

_-_

The rest of the dinner was odd, but not horrible. It was strange to see Cas not being the normal talkative self he usually is, but even stranger to talk to this guy who was married to Cas.

"It was great to meet you, Dean." Ben shakes my hand.

"Likewise."

I'm walking to my car, until I hear the door shut again, and footsteps walking behind me. I turn around. It's Cas.

"Cas," I start to say, "I gotta say, I didn't know what I expected, but-"

He interrupts, grabbing me by my jacket, pushing me against my car, and kisses me.

My body stiffens at first, shocked. But even more shocking, how easy our lips fit together, how perfect this feels...

We break apart after what feels like a century, but probably was only a few seconds. A million thoughts run through my mind, but the only word that comes out is a breathless, "Cas..."

"I... I'll see you on Monday." He says, and walks back inside without looking me in the eye. Back inside to his husband, to his college sweetheart, the man who has no idea who his husband really is.
