"Tom?" He fidgeted in bed. "Tom?!" He pulled the sheets over his head. "Tom! Wake up you lazy bum! Harrison is here!" He tossed and turned in his bed a few times before making his way to the bathroom. He fumbled around for his toothbrush, covered it with a massive amount of toothpaste. "What the hell did you do last night?" Harrison's reflexion came into view in the bathroom mirror. "Helped a friend out." "The girl?" He asked. Harrison's eyes were a gorgeous shade of green and ever since they were little, Tom was jealous of him for that. "Nah... Nathan had a problem with his bike, the chains were rigged." He eluded through his mouth full of minty foam. "Hmmm...so you haven't seen her in three days right?" Haz inquired again. "I have. Picked her up after helping Nathan out." He spited the foam out and rinsed his mouth. Noticing the strange look Haz was giving him, Tom frowned. However, he did not have the time to argue, his mother was already calling them down for breakfast.

"So when are we heading back to Atlanta?" "I still have a week." Tom said between two bites. As they grew, Haz and him started getting competitive. They both knew about it but chose not to address it and deep inside, Tom thought it would drive them apart someday. "Where are you two heading?" Nicola Holland asked when she heard the keys unlocking the front door. "We're taking Tessa out for a walk." Her son shouted and the door was slammed shut right after. "Come on Tessa! Come on!" Tom said after his dog. "What's her name again?" Haz wondered. "Riley." Tom said. "What are you thinking about?" He asked, watching Harrison walk silently. "You should get her to meet the squad." His green eyes fell on Tom, carefully reading his reaction. Harrison was at time the cure and sometimes the disease. Not that he was manipulative but he knew just what buttons to push to get the truth out of his best friend. "She doesn't know me enough yet and you want me to bring her around?" It was a statement more than a question to which Haz simply nodded. "Yeah, I mean, we're super nice." "Are you though?" "Yeah. She's bound to like at least one of us." Harrison said as-a-matter-of-factly. "I don't think so..." Tom sent a loaded look his way, cutting the conversation short. Harrison had gathered enough information to make out the budding feelings Tom had for the girl on the other side.

Asswipe

Why the fuck did you come home on foot yesterday night?!

Looney Bakery

Dad?

Asswipe

Srly Bear, the fuck were you thinking?!

Looney Bakery

Yeah, I walked so fast that I made it home twenty minutes after ending my shift.

Asswipe

...😐

Looney Bakery

You're such a tosser sometimes!

Asswipe

Tom?

Looney Bakery

Yeah. I did not want him to see your ugly face so I made him pull up in Elden Ln.

Asswipe

That's kinda far not to see my face...

Looney Bakery

Not far enough to cover your stench.

Asswipe

Low blow, bear, even for you.

Looney Bakery

Well rejoice my friend, cuz that's the first "low blow" you've had in centuries x)

Asswipe

I loathe you...with a passion.

Looney Bakery
