"Your majesty! There's trouble in the meadow!" Harry burst in, interrupting Astra and her meeting with delegate's.
"The meadow?" Her confused face. No way could there be trouble there. "You are sure?" She eyed them. There is no way trouble could find them on the day she gave the kingdom the day off. He nodded with what looked like regret. She sighed heavily before bowing gracefully and leaving the group. "I'll head out and check it. You all enjoy the party." She paced towards the nest, her dress fading into her armor."I'll join you" Skye rushed to her side. The quicker he helped her, the quicker she could get back and get back in that dress.
Making it to the nest, Dez had Loki ready for them, saddled and prepared for flight. Both grinning discreetly. Loki was definitely in on the plan.
Mounting the lizard, the trio burst into the air! Astra more annoyed than anything, and was gonna make the troublemakers pay for their misdeeds."Why on earth would there be trouble in the meadow?" Skye voiced loudly to Astra, making sure his voice was heard above the rapid airflow that rushed at them.
"I don't know. Could be dragons fighting, or someone trying to round up the babies." Astra thought, come to think of it, Harry wasn't very specific as to what was happening at the meadow.
As they neared the meadow, everything seemed peaceful, the dragons were calmly in their different clans, either sleeping or feeding, others flying about or playing. Loki landed in the middle, his focus on the picnic blanket and food that was laid not far from them, though the oblivious duo completely did not notice, their focus on the well being of the dragons.
"They look fine to me." Skye looked confused towards Astra, herself too looking over the dragons to find no disturbances. In fact, they looked to be the disturbance.
"You're right..." Astra agrees, noticing Loki was a little too quiet. "Loki?" she enticed, knowing he knew something. Almost as if he had nothing to do with it, smiled nonchalantly, and pointed at the picnic.
"Did you have anything to do with this?" She crossed her arms at Loki, fully knowing he was now up to mischief, clearly not on his own. In anticipation, Loki was already in the air flying away, leaving the two in their lonesome.
Skye took advantage of the opportunity of her being alone to ask.
"Astra?" She turned to look at him. "I've been wanting to ask you something for a long time."
"As a friend or as a queen?"
"I guess both" They both sat down on the blanket, helping themselves to the food, though Skye noticed that Astra's head was elsewhere. She was always on alert. "Astra, you need to chill out, and I feel like taking on this entire endeavor on your own isn't good for you health, or your mind in fact."
"And what do you know of my mind?" She smiled at him, picking another piece of fruit from the middle, her attention at full now.
"You're telling me, that we bond we share cannot be taken further?"
"Further how?" She knew what she was getting at, but she wanted him to be completely honest with her, and the only way she knew how to do that was to tease.
"Well... Err..."
"Skye, there is no need to be nervous around me, I know what you want to say, I just want to hear it?" She smiled sweetly at him, shuffling closer and taking his hand.
"Astra, I love you, and I want to be with you for the rest of our lives. I don't want you to feel alone when taking on things like these." He squeezed her hands tight, bringing them close to his heart.
"Well. Why didn't you say so?" She smiled again, kissing him on the cheek.
