I get to the school to see the whole "gang"
"We've all lost so much. Especially recently." I hear Stefan say as I get out of my car.
"I think we're numb too it. We push it away we make a joke out of it. Ignore how we feel. Time to just let ourselves just greive." He finishes.
"So you're lighting lanterns?" I ask walking up to them eye sing every single on of them.
"Yeah. Yes we are." Caroline says.
Then Damon starts saying something about a hunter and the council.
Caroline hands me a lantern.
"This is for my uncle Zach. My friend Lexi. For Alaric." Stefan lights the lantern and passes the lighter to Matt.
"This is for Vickie." Matt says and hands the lighter to Caroline.
"This is for my dad. And Tyler's." Caroline says then Jeremy grabs the lighter.
"This is for our parents. For Vickie. Anna. Jenna and Alaric." Jeremy says then gives the lighter to Damon.
"No way. I'm not doing that." Damon says.
Jeremy looks at Bonnie and Bonnie stands up.
I roll my eyes.
"For my mom." She says.
Everyone looks at me and Elena.
"This um. If for my parents. Jenna Alaric." Elena says sighing.
She then hands the lighter to me.
"Mom, dad, Jenna, Alaric, John, Isobel, Eris, Vicki." I pause and Bonnie looks at me.
"Pretty much everyone we've lost. And this is for Stefan, Damon, Caroline. And me I guess." I say and light the lantern.
I then release mine and everyone else does.
We all just stand there looking at them.

"Because in the end. When you lose somebody every candle, every prayer is not gonna make up for the fact that the only thing that you have left, is a hole in your life where that somebody that you cared about used to be." I hear.
"And a rock. With a birthday carved into it that I'm pretty sure is wrong." Damon says.
Then he says some other things then gets up and starts walking away.
I stand there thinking.
