Chapter 10: alive

"Ahh that jerk! he didn't tell you his name right?" Keno asked, his face turned to red...I just nodded.

"And it doesn't matter to me anyway" I answered back..they all gasped and look at me with those unbelievable expression on their faces.

"Okay, visiting time is finish. Everyone out" 

I sighed in relief and silently thanking Inno for driving them away..honestly I'm starting to like them but the noise and the things that they keep on telling me to remember things makes my head ache. They all groaned in protest but Inno's face was firmed and nobody can even argue with that kind of face. After saying their 'goodbyes' and 'see you again', they all dashed out from my room. 

"Anyway Devon, you're welcome" said Inno after a while..I was puzzled with what he said but before I could even asked him he already has an answer

"I can read mind"

"I see" I answered back...I was now back in thinking of that SOMEONE...oh common why should I even bother thinking about that. 

"Uhm, Devon..if you need something just call me, and I almost forgot-here" then he handed me  a tray of bread..I could smell its sweetness already..I swallowed hard and looked at him, trying to ignored that flavourful smell...

"You cannot lie to me, Devon. Even if you make your face as blank as a paper I know what you're thinking" he teased..

I feel irritated, I grabbed the bread and looked at it.Oblivious to his presence now...I've been dreaming to taste this kind of food ever since I was walking with the human but I have to control myself before because I know what will happen to me once I let myself eat human's food....but now I have every chance to taste it....slowly I took the bread and bite it...

And the taste...it was heaven!! I don't care if he's laughing at me but I finished the bread in ten seconds..and I am still craving for more...I'm drooling!!! I looked at him..I don't care if I look stupid or what.."I want some more" I beg but he just laugh and shake his head.

"No, I'm sorry sweetie but that's enough for today" 

My face contorted " You gave me that bread to what? to hunger me?" I felt sick with him now.

"It's not that,sweetie. You're body is just recovering from the operation and you hadn't taken any food for five long years. Surely your body will react badly if you will eat too much" he explained. I sighed and gazed at the window.

"How long will I stay here inside this room?" 

"Well you can go out and look around but don't tire yourself" my eyes grew wide

"Really?" 

he nodded and smiled at me..again that warm smile..maybe because of that I immediately trust him..that's why but...

I still have to see HIM....he's the only one who can answer tons of question running in my mind right now...especially now that I realized...how I wanted to be back...back to who I am..

I want to know who is Devon Nrose...who is she?

What was she before and the most important thing...why did the red dynasty changed me into an android?

Red Dynasty.............

I almost forget...Red Dynasty will not allow me to get away through with this easily..they will find me or should I say they are looking for me now..with that I took off the blanket and look at my left ankle the cuff is still there..trasparent as it was..unnoticeable...

"Don't worry too much about that Devon..for now just enjoy and don't think about them we will protect you no matter what" 

I was caught off guard with what he said, he's face was hard but his aqua blue eyes were gently gazing at me..

"Why?"

"Don't you understand? You belong to our family now and even before..we will not let them win this time..They can't harm you now.."

I was speechless I don't know what to say..these people are not just a bunch of weirdos but also ..............

they are my family..then tears run down on my cheeks I wiped it off quickly. I don't want him to see me crying...

"Let's call it a day, rest now Devon, you need that" 

I nodded at him and lay down on my bed.

"One more thing Devon" he said before he went out..

"I hope to see your smile soon" then he was gone...I was puzzled with what he said..

smile...I never smiled before..or I can't remember myself smiling..maybe I did before...before I turned into a monster.....................
