Chapter 5: Fading.......

Vivid images flash my minds.....a girl with long wavy hair was laughing while running.....her hands were full of icing..

then another image came..a big black bloody wings flapped then  terrifying screams made me shrink into pieces.

My mind automatically shutts it off. I opened my eyes and saw him gazing at me knowingly..

"You remembered?" he asked, a glint of hope shone in his dark hazel eyes.. I hissed at him..quickly I move backward, leaving him 10 feet away from me.

No! my mind screams in terror. It can't be..I can't be human..Who is this human I am supposed to kill? He makes me sees things that scares the hell out of me. I lived my life with nothing to remember only killings. I am created to annihilate. To be a distraction. I don't have any identity. Red dynasty given life to me..I should be thankful with that but my mind came into revulsion..I know I know they didn't  treat me well. Before they allow me to kill. I've been with lots of punishment..almost taking my life but those memories almost faded..I can't hardly remember.

And now...

I felt totally at lost..

should I believe him. He's human. Human should not be trust. I closed my eyes trying to clear my dazed mind.

"I know it's hard for you..you've been held captive for 5 long years. I did all I can to find you and save you but damn I always end up in a failure." I stiffen as I felt his breath fumming on my face then he keep his distance again..

"Tell me..t-tell m-me what you knew about m-me" I trembled with my acceptance. Asking him will risk my life even his life..suddenly  I realized even if I'll try to kill him, plan a hundred ways how to do it..I can't do it. That's what I've been doing since that sabotage happened. I tried to keep him alive..I gasped in disgust with myself. For the first time I felt my knees weakened. So unmindingly I sat and hugged my legs tightly as if protecting myself and rest my forhead over my knees.

"Start now p-please" I asked again.

I felt him walk towards me. A hissed went out from me as I felt his arm brushed against mine. He chuckled softly. 

"I can't believe that you've changed that quick..Its amazed me that you're accustomed with my presence now, before you always asked me to stay beside you" he said teasingly. I glared at him.

"That's a lie" 

He shook his head and stared at the endless darkness of this forest.

"Where do you want me to start?"

My eyes narrowed in anger.."Starts with what you know" I am too impatient now..time is running and maybe before he could even tell me what he knew the red dynasty  will be here already.

"Don't worry..they can't find you here.It's my territory. The tracking device in your cuff won't work here" he said in a cold voice.

"How is that possible?" I asked with too much curiousity..a place where Red Dynasty can't track down. That is really cool!

"I believe you want to know more important things than that..even if I tell you why it's possible. You won't understand" 

"You beast! What do you think of me a dimwit?" I asked with too much raged. Now I am doubting myself if I really want him alive.

"Nope but hmm" theres that glow of enjoyment in those eyes. The coldness and fierce were gone.

"Stop mocking me before I change my mind of not killing you"   I went back from where I sat but I put more distance between us..enough to avoid that weird feeling whenever our skin touches.

"Alright then." 

"Devon Nrose, that's your name." 

As he said this..my blood seems to rush in my brains..I held myself to ask more..honestly right now I'm craving to know who really I am. Eager like a child.

"You're 20 years old and you will be celebrating your  21st birthday next month"  he looked at me with those intense emotion I can't figure out..I looked away immediately. My heart is pulsing so hard I can even hear it then I heard him laugh. My eyes set on him again..amazed..did he just laughed? I can't belive he can really laugh.

"Ahh Devon, you had the same expression the first time you heard me laugh" he said in between laughs

I snorted"Stop this nonsense. continue..do I have a family?" damn! I am making things more complicated now. Knowing if I have a family..thats absurd. If I have then I am risking their safety.

He looked at me silently "They were gone" he looks somber now. "When they got you. They killed your parents" 

My heartbeat seems to stop. When he said 'they' means the Red Dynasty. Suddenly images came flashing again. Horror strucks me when a woman appears infront of me.Blood soaking her dress. Her face was beaten. She's shouting something then a man maybe same with her age came hugged her tightly as if to protect her. They are both extremely beaten to death..they are both shaking as they keep on screaming..

shouting a name..my heart aches as I watched them suffers..who are they calling to..

Again the woman shouted. Tears streaming down her face..Devon! Devon! she shouted..fear in her voice. My chest tightens..tears swells on my eyes..Mama! I blurted out. I gasped in confussion and fear for these two fragile human..then a loud ear defeaning sound roar..everthing moves slowly before my eyes as the two bodies  fell on the ground..lifeless.. 

I shrieked in sorrow..pain I can't stand ,a warm strong arms held me..embracing me. Giving me strength. I am shaking horribly I can't control myself but to cry! 

"Shhh! I'm here baby!" he just hugged me. It took me 15 minutes to stop shaking and crying. And when I did I felt so numb..

"You should rest now" he said. I shook my head.

"No. Continue" my voice sounds so weak.

"They are gone now. my family. Thats make me alone now." 

"You're not..you have me" 

I looked up at him. Staring again with those eyes.."What do you mean?" 

"I am your husband"
