"I double dog dare you to summon a demon." The dare lingers in the air, the five friends all sit in a circle, each looking at Castiel to see what he will do.

"I-..." Castiel doesn't know what to say. The shy and timid boy wasn't even suppose to be here, he was suppose to be upstairs in his room studying when Gabriel forced him down stairs and told him to 'interact' with other kids his age.

"You have to do it Cassie!" Gabriel says with a smirk while sucking on a lollipop. "I double dog dared ya!"

Castiel's pleading eyes meet everyone else's in the circles, hoping that one of them will get him out of this, that one of them will say this is ridiculous and that Castiel clearly doesn't want to.

They don't.

Meg, Balthazar, and Anna all just stare at him expectantly.

"I don't think this is a good idea." Castiel says softly, his gaze meeting the floor.

He feels the pure pressure slowly crawl it's way into him, making him bite his lip as everyone tries to talk him into it.

Balthazar: "It's just for fun darling."

Anna: "You don't really believe in that stuff do you?"

Gabriel: "You have to do it, I double dog dared you!"

Meg: "We'll be with you, it'll be fine."

"O- okay." Castiel finally says, a small smile forming on his face when the rest of the group smiles at him.

Castiel is the outsider here. The only reason he is here is because of his cousin Gabriel, but with the smiles he is getting he can't help but feel like maybe he can belong.

"Great! Meg, go get all that weird crap!" Gabriel says happily as Meg shoots him a glare but hops up, Castiel assumes to get 'that weird crap'.

Moments later the small group is down in Castiel's basement. Castiel didn't know why they couldn't do it upstairs but according to Gabriel they'll only come if it's in dark and creepy places, and the basement was just that.

Castiel watches as Meg looks from the piece of paper she screen shotted onto her phone, and back to the circle she was drawing to make sure it was right.

"Okay, everything's ready. We just need some blood from Castiel now." Meg says, causing panic to stir into Castiel stomach.

"Blood? You didn't say anything about blood." Castiel say weakly.

Castiel doesn't like the idea of him having to bleed to do this.

"Just a little bit, that way when the demon comes you'll be his master and he'll have to do what you say!" Meg says.

"Pfft. Like it'll work!" Gabe says with an eye roll, witch earns him another glare from Meg.

"Why don't you do it Meg? You're the one who wanted to do this so bad." Anna ask easily.

"No, it has to be Clarence. He was the one who got dared." Meg says, determination in her voice.

Castiel isn't sure why he agrees. Maybe he just doesn't want to embarrass his cool cousin, who always has such an easy go at making friends. Maybe he just wants to belong, or maybe it is the way Meg is looking at him, like if he doesn't do this she'll hate him forever.

Meg holds out her hand for Castiel to take, which he does slowly. Meg's hand his warm under his, he tries not to squirm when she pulls out a knife and cuts into his skin. Castiel can't stop the whimper that escapes him, and try as he might he can't control a few tears that fall down his face when Meg squeezes his hand over a bowl to get the blood to drip faster.
