Based on Season 2 Episode 2 Shape Shifted
Scarlet woke up and saw her bloody hand among the crunchy leaves she laid on. She pushed off the ground taking a deep breath before she got up slowly stumbling to where her bag was. She pulled out a water bottle as she sat on the steps. She poured some into her hands rubbing furiously at the blood that she had coughed out in a hazy state before she woke up. She wiped her - now sort of - clean hands on her black shirt before she threw her bag over her shoulder.
This was the second time Scarlet had woken up in the woods and was on her way to the police station in the past week. The girl thought it would be best if she went down and helped out if they needed anything and then caught a ride back to the house with the Sheriffs. Moreover, she could try and check on Isaac if he was in there. She went from tree to tree to stabilize herself as her head was still spinning. Scarlet got to the police station feeling better and was able to walk on her own. She pushed the door open and said a quick greeting to the woman standing at the desk, politely asking if the Sheriff was there.
"No, sorry he's out right now. But, Scarlet if you're here to help you can stand here while I go to the back and put away some files." She said smiling hopefully. Outside, Stiles and Derek talked about their game plan only being able to see the officer from the window they were looking through.
"Okay, now the keys to every cell are in a password protected lock box in my father's office. The problem is getting past the front desk." Scarlet listened as Stiles explained to Derek. "I'll distract her." Derek nodded but Stiles protested putting a hand on the alpha's shoulder, "Whoa, whoa, whoa - you? You're not going in there. I'm taking my hand off." He retracted his hand from the man.
"I was exonerated." The deputy was still putting all the folders she needed to file into a cart.
You're still a person of interest."
"An innocent person." Stiles scoffed at Derek and he retorted, "Innocent - you? Yeah, right! Okay, fine. What's your plan?" He asked with a playful smirk.
"To distract her."
"Uh - huh. How? By punching her in the face?" Stiles sarcastically spoke making fun of the masculinity and denial of any other form of communication from Derek.
"By talking to her." Derek said as if it was obvious, which in all fairness it was.
"Alright Scarlet I'm going to be back there for a couple of minutes." The deputy spoke with a light smile.
"Yeah don't worry about it, if anyone comes in I'll tell them to sit down and I'll call for you." Scarlet smirked knowing what was going to happen.
"Okay, all right. Give me a sample. What are you gonna open with?" Stiles asked him and Derek sat there with a flat expression denying to humor him. "Dead silence. That should work beautifully. Any other ideas?"
"I'm thinking about punching you in the face."
When Derek exited the Jeep Stiles mocked the alpha's voice, moving his head sporadically before following him out. Stiles was going to sneak by the counter while Derek distracted the woman at the desk who unbeknownst to him was going to be Scarlet. Yet, he wouldn't be able to sneak by her since she had already heard his heartbeat from the moment the car pulled up.
"Hello, oh I wasn't expecting -" Derek put a hand on the counter and stopped when he locked eyes with Scarlet.
"Hi, my name's Scarlet." She listened to Stiles heartbeat get louder and the softer as he walked by. Derek nodded and she waited until Stiles was gone. "So Derek, how have you been?" She leaned her elbows on the counter.
