Season 2 Episode 4 Abomination
After the ice rink shenanigans, Scarlet, Allison, and Lydia all had a sleepover at the latter's house. They were talking for hours and broke into Lydia's parent's stash of alcoholic beverages.
"So, Lydia what exactly did you see earlier?" Scarlet spoke up after Allison had gone to the bathroom.
"There was this purple flower. It was sticking out of the ground in the middle of the rink." The alcohol making it so Lydia was more susceptible to talking about the scene. "Obviously it was weird but something about it made me want to investigate. I sat down and this face - this face appeared out from under the ice and it was smacking up trying to get out." Her eyes were brimmed with tears as the girl rested her head on the pillow of her bed.
"Do you know who it was?" Scarlet was grabbing another bottle and pouring herself a drink. "Lydia?" She turned around to look at the strawberry-blonde and sadly, she passed out before Scarlet could find out any more.
A couple days past but Scarlet stayed by Allison and Lydia's side all the time in a very protective way. She saw Stiles and Scott during classes and talked to them here and there but nothing was too notable for her. She walked home that day as Stiles said he had something he had to do at the last moment and everyone who could've given her a ride had left by then. Although most would be mad she was kind of thankful, she was able to walk home and actually have time to think over everything she has experienced and has yet to. She knew she'd have to wait until all her powers surfaced before she was able to explain everything to the plethora of friends she's accumulated. There was a part of her that just wanted to continue being normal but she realized she chose the most supernatural friend group for that so she ditched that idea.
At six-thirty, Scarlet got up after reading three-fourths of the first Harry Potter book and she stalked into the kitchen. She started reading after she got home and finished her extremely easy homework. She poured some water into a white mug and grabbed a green tea bag. Not sure how much of her abilities have given back she hovered her pointer finger over it focusing intently on the energy flowing through herself. When nothing happened she angrily huffed. She was about to give up and just put it into the microwave but then her stubbornness took over and she sat down at the table continuing to attempt the use of her powers.
Half an hour and multiple attempts later, Scarlet rested a hand on her chest where the safety pin Scott had given her was pushed into. She held it in between her fingertips and took a deep breath closing her eyes. She focused on the feeling of the electricity in her body, the blood flowing through her veins, the pumping of her heart in her chest. The girl opened her eyes and smiled so widely it almost hurt. She let out a happy shriek and giggle she watched the flame that escaped from her fingertip. After about thirty seconds the water began boiling in the mug and she stopped herself. Using the tea bag, she dipped it into her cup repeatedly as she walked back over to the couch. She sat down placing the maroon blanket over herself and picking up the book. After a while, the door flung open and Stiles walked in.
"Hey you, welcome home." Scarlet smiled looking up to see Stiles kicking off his shoes.
"Oh, hey. What're you reading?" He walked over sitting on the couch next to where Scarlet's legs were.
"Harry Potter - the first one. How'd your expedition to save lives go?" Scarlet said jokingly.
"What?" Stiles' eyes bugged out of his head which raised suspicion within Scarlet.
"How'd the very important thing that you left me to walk home so you could do go?" She clarified.
"Oh! Not very well. But, hey, I'm really sorry about that, Scott needed me to -"
