Dan's POV

"Phil, I'm going out!" I yell upstairs.

"For what?" He yells back.

"I need to go grocery shopping we barely have any food."

"Wait!" He yells back, so I do. I wait there for about five minutes before he shows up with fresh clothes on, and brushed hair.

"Okay, now we can go." He says with a smile on his face.

"Phil, I can go by myself while you finish editing." I say.

"No! I need fresh air, plus I have been working on that video for hours, I need a break." He looks at me again with begging eyes as if he was a child begging his mum to take him out to ice cream.

"Fine, come on."

When we leave our flat Phil begins to call a taxi, while I walk right past him.

"What are you doing?" Phil asks me in confusion.

"We're walking." I answer still walking further, not once taking my eyes off the pavement.

Phil begins to jog slightly to catch up with me. "Why?" He asks.

"Because you said you needed fresh air." I say slightly shivering in my bulky coat.

"Dan, it's -2 degrees (Celsius) out here!"

"Hm, I guess we better get going then huh." I say being snotty and he just sighs.

We walk silently in the cold night. It always smelled like smoke in this area, so I scrunch my nose up. Suddenly I see a girl crying on a bench. Everyone was ignoring her and walking right past this kid. She couldn't have been older than 13.

"Phil, do you see that girl over there?" I ask him.

"Where?" He asks lifting his head up.

"Over there on that bench, the crying girl." I answer.

He nods and looks back down. He doesn't notice when I walk over to the poor girl.

I'm sorry that these chapters are so short I'm just trying to jump into the story right now, but hopefully you enjoy it so far! I might update again today, but I don't know, so see you then if I do.
