In The Eyes of Me

Chapter 3

"Hey Vee can you here me, hey snap out of it!" Shei snapped his fingers trying to get my attention, I regained my reality. Once I realized where I was I looked over to Shei with a worried expression on his face "oh sorry what happened?" I asked, the last things I remember were very blurry "uh I think you need something to drink, let's go I saw a juice bar near by" Shei took my hand and led me down the street to a lit up building. I can't believe it's night time already, It was four o'clock when I last remember.

We took a seat in a booth, the room was warmly lit, it felt like a cabin on a winter night. The waitress came and handed us a menu with a variety of different drink listed on it. I browsed the list and one drink stood out to me, warm pumpkin cinnamon cider, for some reason that felt vary familiar, I had enough of weird feelings so I ordered a sweet pomegranate juice, I also ordered some sea salt caramel ice cream to go with it as well.

The whole time we were eating our meal Shei kept looking at me in a worrisome way. I was uncomfortable so I decided to ask "Shei what's wrong? you keep looking at me funny" His face scrunched up into a concerned look "y'know those bad thoughts you were telling me about today right?" he asked, I nodded "was that guy you were chasing today...was he one of them?" suddenly I felt like I was punched in the gut, I hesitated to answer but the just spit out like a broken damn "yes he was, but he's gone now" the look of shock appeared onto Shei's face

"Did you kill him!?" he shouted.

"What!? no I didn't...or at least I don't think I did"

"So what did you do?" he asked.

I didn't want to answer but I knew I had to "I erased him, he no longer exists" I said bluntly. I saw Shei trying to comprehend what I just said, his face looked hollow. He looked up at me "So you can do that erase people from existence?" he asked me, and with the smallest response I could give him "yes" I looked down at my hand which they were clutching onto a bit of my dress.

Shei stood up and paid the bill and left before saying "I think I need to go home" I silently agreed with him, I don't think that someone that close to me should be around me right now. I got up and left to go home.

I was in the field in front of the cave that led into the Goddess's Din. Suddenly one of the men riding the giant birds flew down in front of me and looked at me "Are you Vee?" he asked, I nodded at him "You have a letter from the princess of the amethyst castle" he reached into the bag that was hanging on his side and pulled out a letter with a wax seal on the front of it. " enjoy your night miss" he nodded at me then took off. I tore open the envelope and pulled out the letter.

                             Dear Vee.

                            I would like to invite you to my castle to talk to you about something

                            impotent. I know about the bad thought that got through today. We

                            must talk about something that involves you and your friend. If you

                            care for him and you then lease accept my offer and meet me

I was in awe and in shock, now I know something is wrong.
