I had awoken to a dull light hitting my face, I looked up at the opening of the cavern above us. It was cloudy which it almost never was, I was confused. Shei still wasn't awake yet so I decided to go look outside before he woke up. But first I wen to take a drink from the pound but met with disappointment. The once sweet tasting water was flavorless and made my mouth even more dry like it was drinking the air.
I ignored the fact that the water basically had no substance and wet through the cave outside. hoping to be met with a river or a pound instead was met with something else. When I had stepped out the whole world was a never ending space of void that I could barely look through due to a thick layer of fog. But this void was not completely empty, there was a long hall of mirrors ranging from different sizes. When I walked by them different images that were suppose to be my reflection were replaced with a small child that looked like me but with dark brown hair and light hazel eyes that differed from my tan hair and my blue eyes.
I was startled when the child in the mirror began to move away from me calling out to some body "wait for me mommy!" and the girl disappeared from the mirror. I reacted and reached out to her, my finger touched the mirror and my hand went through and soon my whole my body went through the mirror. It felt like my body was jolted forward like I was pushed or pulled me through.
Once I had landed on the other side I felt it was safe to open my eyes. Once I did I was shocked at what I was looking at, A city with a tall palace like structure was off in the distance. I looked behind me and I had walked out of the window of a building. But something was off, every thing around me was bright, colorful, full of life in fact it was the opposite. Everything was grey and dull, without life. I looked over to the side and saw the little girl that looked some much like me running to an older woman, most likely her mother. My first action was to follow her, but I was stopped by a voice that called out for me. I looked behind me and to my surprise I saw the butler from the amethyst castle. His appearance had not changed from the last time he was seen.
He was standing straight and tall like a board, he bowed to me with his hand over his chest like a butler "Greetings mam, I see that you are slightly confused, let me explain".
