The friction between Paul and Guzma calmed down and subsided, the uneasy, awkward feeling no longer existent.
Guzma relaxed in his chair, feeling his back ache from actually standing up straight the whole time. He couldn't help but wonder why Paul had been so irritated and triggered by his previous status.
"Jus' wonderin', but is there any evil organization in Sinnoh too?" Guzma asked, keeping his eyes on the stage as he watched a random performer take the lead with their pokemon.
Paul nodded his head the tiniest bit, not really caring about the random performer on the field. "They're called Team Galactic. They've always opened up pathways, just like wormholes, to another dimension so they can capture the legendary Pokémon Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. One time they were almost successful, and they plan to cause destruction to the whole region of Sinnoh."
"So they had a similar goal as the Aether Foundation, except in their own regions." Guzma mumbled, interested more about who Team Galactic was, or whoever their Boss was currently.
The contested finished her performance, then walked off stage. "And now, for our next contestant, it's Kenny Kengo!" The female judge announced, having the crowd burst into another round of applause.
A young man with red-brown hair walked on, waving to the crowd..looking almost too cheerful. Guzma wrinkled his nose at the male, then looked at Paul to see a nasty glare written on his face, staring straight ahead.
"Ya know the guy?" Guzma pondered, glancing his eyes at the male, who'd now brought out some sort of water pokemon he'd never seen before.
Paul grumbled, making a tick sound with his tongue. "He's a fucking ass dump, never liked him." His voice was portraying disgust, obviously not taking a liking to whoever this Kenny guy was. "He's terrible at contests too."
Guzma smirked, finding it funny to see the big champ like this. "He looks to be ya age, reason why ya don' like him?"
"He's Dawn's childhood friend. He tried getting out of the friend zone way too often, and we met after I just competed in the Sinnoh league when I was ten. Dawn always wanted to hang around me for some odd reason, and at first I hated it, I thought she was the most annoying person to exist, but after a while I got used to it. I actually enjoyed her presence, so naturally after many years, this fuck chump tried to steal her away from me. I wasn't going to let this dumb shit try taking her away." Paul divulged, having Guzma chuckle at the story.
Man, he forgot the good ol' days, that was so long ago.
"To be honest, he looks pretty fuckin' soft for a guy. He'd look like the one to be gay instead of straight." Guzma observed while Paul smirked at his comment. They continued to comment lowkey roasts for the rest of his performance until he was finished and off the stage.
"Now our next contestant! She's Sinnoh's true angel, she's our favorite star in the skies, here is our VERY. OWN. DAAAWN BERLITZ!" The female MC enthusiastically announced, having the crowd immediately bounce on their feet, cheering louder for her than any other contester so far. Guzma actually slightly winced from how sensitive his ears were to the noise, but was mostly flabbergasted by how loud the crowd was.
Dawn walked on stage happily, her hips slightly swaying to each step she took. She wore a full length navy blue dress with one strap, and a slit on the right side of her dress that went to the very top of her thigh, showing off her matching heels to go with it. Her makeup had been more touched upon, seeing that it was slightly more intense with the deepened blue eyeshadow to match with a perfect wing to stand out. Her hair was let down in big loose curls, perfecting her image.
