Chapter 9: Loyalty and Betrayal

The group had landed in an odd field as the glow dissipated. "W-where are we?" Liger asked as he looked at the others, sunspots making it harder to see them.

"I don't know my dear liger but it looks as though the sun is out." Ameta stated as she slowly walked towards liger.

"Making it day time at least but after the amount of time we spent in that temple, i wonder what day it even is." Liger told Ameta.

Ameta simply nodded to agree and after doing so, she spotted Tikel and Kian looking at the now glowing adamant orb.

"So explain how we even ended up in a meadow that seems to be in the middle of nowhere." Ameta told Tikel as both her and liger approached the xatu and staraptor.

Tikel looked at Ameta and sighed. "Lord dialga's treasure has brought us to this field but for what is something i have no clue about." Tikel stated and ameta just gave an annoyed look.

"Can't you just talk to dialga and ask?" Ameta questioned and after she did so, liger started to back away from the lopunny. 'Man, i hate it when Ameta gets like this.' Liger thought to himself while kian was still looking around.

"Well it might be odd we landed in an unknown location but that tower over there seems rather familiar." Kian stated and after doing so, both tikel and ameta glanced over at the tower.

"That must be the sacred place." Tikel looked ecstatic but Ameta seemed indifferent towards how tikel felt.

'Hmm.' Ameta thought and started to think something was a little off about all this.

The group walked towards temporal tower and Ameta had noticed it was quiet, a little too quiet. "I think there is something wrong here." Ameta told Tikel but however tikel didnt pay attention.

"You are all here and tikel my closest follower, you brought my treasure... thank you for being so determined and loyal and thank the others for helping you. For this i must celebrate you all... A feast!" A metallic dragon sounding voice sounded across the rather quiet field.

"A feast?" Ameta questioned and didnt like this at all. "Sounds delicious to me." Both kian and liger stated.

Tikel blushed. "Lord dialga, thank you for such praise! We shall be honoured to feast with you!" Tikel cawed in a loving follower way.

Ameta looked to the side. 'Something is fishy.' Ameta thought as she shivered a little. 'Someone is watching.'

Dialga was inside temporal tower setting up the "feast" and grinned in a very dark manner. "I look forward to my freedom... hahaha!" Dialga let out a laugh but tried not to get carried away.

Meanwhile the four had walked to temporal tower and tikel looked joy filled while liger and kian looked ready to eat a tauros whole and ameta well she looked at the tower suspiciously. 'I dont like this.' Ameta thought to herself.

Liger noticed ameta looked rather uncomfortable. "Why arent you enthusiastic after we have just found out we are getting a feast?" Liger asked and Ameta simply pointed at the tower.

"Liger hunny i suggest to be vigilant while we are at this "feast" because i feel there is something more behind it." Ameta explained to Liger and Liger nodded.

"Okay but I dont see what could be wrong." Liger admitted. Ameta glared at Liger. "Okay okay enough with the scary eyes." Liger told ameta and she stopped.

The door to temporal tower had a small nook in it that looked as though an orb like object is meant to be placed inside of it. "The adamant orb." Tikel stated and then used psychic to place the adamant orb in the nook to unlock the door.

The massive doors opened and revealed the inside of the tower and also revealed Dialga. "I am so glad you all made it. Come in an enjoy the feast for returning my treasure to me." Dialga told the group.

Tikel walked inside as did kian and Liger, however, ameta walked inside but gazed suspiciously at the whole tower and at dialga. 'This is all just not making sense.' Ameta thought and then walked to the table.

Tikel bowed to dialga. "Lord dialga it is a great honour to be able to even witness you in reality. I thank you for such a blessing as to be able to even eat with you." Tikel told dialga and Dialga grinned.

"My most loyal follower, tikel, i thank you for your kind words. Lets not allow such a lovely meal to go to waste." Dialga stated and they all sat at the table and as they did so Dialga would not stop grinning.

Tikel had grabbed the orb back from the door and was going to give it to Dialga, however Dialga refused it. "Not until after the meal." Dialga told tikel and she bowed and sat at the table.

Everyone had now sat down and were feasting as planned. 'Yes be merry and enjoy this feast... your graves await you soon however.' Dialga thought to himself.

Liger and kian ate as much as they possibly could and tikel ate a rather large amount while ameta ate a little so her suspicion wouldnt be figured out. 'Hmm i dont want tikel hurt but i know this massive monster is going to do something bad... Dialga is suspicious and it might just be instinct but still.' Ameta thought to herself.

"Okay now you are all done feasting i think its about time i get my treasure." Dialga stated and tikel complied and gave the adamant orb over.

Dialga placed the adamant orb inside of himself and he started to change, his grin however didnt. "I am glad tikel that you have fufilled your use to me but now it is high time i get rid of you all, for i am a god!" Dialga roared and the temple almost shattered away.

Tikel looked at dialga and was almost lost for words. "You... betrayed me." Tikel said in an empty way to dialga.

Dialga smirked. "Yeah cause you were so easy to control and manipulate, i knew i chose a good one for this job." Dialga told Tikel.

The tower was all but in rubble and ruin and now dialga was free. "We need to do something..." Tikel told the others in a weak way.
