*When you accidentally catch a glimpse of things that are about to happen a long way ahead of where you're at in a book*

~Baby Shopping~

I smiled, running my fingers through my Kitten's hair slowly as he let out a soft snore and cuddled up against me. We had come to bed about an hour ago and he was already fast asleep. I on the other hand couldn't sleep, I had far too much on my mind. Kellin was going to have a baby, we were going to be parents again. I had thought that we'd never have another kid, just because I knew how much Kellin was hurting from the miscarriage. But, here we were. Parents to be.

It still just, it was something I couldn't wrap around my brain. I knew I could take care of a child, I had proved that with Kellin when he was being a little. It was different with an actual baby though, I don't know if I'll be able to do it. I'm attached to Kellin, he's my kitten, my everything. He has absolutely no faults whatsoever, a baby was a completely different thing. I didn't know the child, it was mine of course but it wasn't the same. What if I don't love them like I do Kellin?

Kellin let out a quiet whimper, "No, no." He cried quietly. I shushed him softly and rubbed his back, trying to soothe him back to sleep.

"It's okay Kitten, you're okay." I murmured as he buried his face in my chest and started crying in his sleep when he let out a scream and shot up in bed thrashing wildly. I sat up and held his arms down carefully. "Kellin, Kells wake up darling." I said softly, shaking him awake.

He screamed again, tears streamed down his face, as he finally woke up and tried to even his breathing. I carefully picked him up and held him close to my chest.

"Are you okay Darling?" I asked him softly, my hand running through his hair slowly. Kellin sniffed and shook his head.

"I'm scared Vic, I'm so, so scared." He cried, burying his head into the crook of my shoulder.

"Oh Kells, what are you scared of baby?" I asked and pushed him away slightly, rubbing the tears off of his face. He sniffed again and rubbed his nose.

"The baby, I'm so scared about this, a-about all of it. I don't think I'll be able to handle it if I lose this one too," he cried, covering his face.

"There is nothing to be scared of Kellin, I swear to you nothing is going to happen to our child." I told him seriously, "We're going to be just fine, you, me and the baby. The baby is going to be born and he's going to be healthy and he's going to have an amazing dad who loves him very much and he's also going to have a really strange father who probably shakes his hand rather than hug him."

Kellin giggled, "You're going to love him too Viccy, I just know it. As soon as you see our baby you're just going to be crazy about him or her. You try to act all big and bad but I know you baby."

I smiled and gave him a kiss, "Whatever you say. Are you going to be okay?"

He nodded, "Yeah, I'm going to be fine. I'm just still so scared Viccy."

"I know, but we're going to do this together. I talked to Curtis and I won't be going on any missions until after you have the baby."

My little kitten smiled and gave me a kiss, "I love you."

"I love you too, now let's get some sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow."

...

"Did you have to bring those three?" I muttered as I wrapped my arm around Kellin's waist protectively while we followed Alysha, Lynn and Ariel around the store as they randomly started throwing items into the shopping cart. We found out the sex of the baby this morning and much to Kellin's shock/glee we were having a girl and they were going crazy buying all of the things we'd need for her.

"They wanted to come," he said rubbing his stomach. Kellin was now thirteen weeks pregnant and he was starting to get just a little baby bump. It was actually really cute, and much to Kellin's joy, I kept kissing it.

"So, what do you want to name her?" I asked as we walked, watching the girls throw little tutu's and cute outfits in the basket. I had told them to just get as many clothes as they wanted. Of course though, they want my daughter to wear a shit ton of frilly dresses and it's just no. As soon as our daughter is old enough to pick out her own clothes she'll be wearing whatever she's comfortable in. Until then though, I guess she's just going to have to suffer in silence.

"I don't know, I've been playing around different names but I'm not sure so what do you think? She's half your too."

I hummed, "I like the name Isle."

He nodded, "Isle, I like it. I was thinking Ember."

"Ember Isle," I said and Kellin smiled.

"I like it," he said. "For a son though, we need a name."

"Why? We're having a daughter."

"Now, but one day I want another baby." He informed me, "I like August."

"I like that, I was thinking something like Grayson," I informed him, pushing my hand into the side of his jeans.

"August Grayson?" He asked and I nodded. "Maybe."

"Maybe," I confirmed. "But let's wait a little bit before we start thinking about another child."

He nodded, "Yeah we don't even know how we're going to handle this one. Well, I bet you're going to do great, you took care of me when I was being a child."

"I don't know, what if it makes me mad and I throw it against the wall?" I joked, Kellin gasped and slapped my chest.

"Victor! Don't you joke like that!"

"I'm sorry Darling," I said and he smacked my hand out of his pants and crossed his arms.

"I'm done with you, you're a jerk." He mumbled.

"Oh don't be like that," I said with a laugh and pulled him close to me. He pushed his bottom lip out and continued to pout as we walked. "Want to know something?"

"What?"

I wrapped my arms around his waist, "I love you."

Kellin giggled, "I already knew that you dork."

"Well I hope you always remember that."

"I will, that's the first thing I did remember," he said quietly.

"Vic!" Lynn squealed and ran up to us with a little onesie that read: Daddy's Little Girl. "We're getting this."

"Oh hell no," I said snatching it from her. "Don't you dare buy anything that says Daddy anywhere on it."

She pouted and stomped back to the girls who groaned loudly when she told them.

"I still don't remember her and I feel kinda bad..."

"It's alright, it'll come back to you eventually." I assured him.

Kellin pursed his lips and nodded before he stopped walking and groaned.

"Viccy my feet hurt!" He whined.

"Want me to carry you Kitten?" I asked, amused.

He pushed his bottom lip out and nodded; my kitten stepped around me and jumped onto my back, his arms looped around my neck as he pressed a kiss to my cheek. I smiled and caught up with the girls, listening as they asked Kellin's opinion on different outfits, chuckling as he let out happy little squeals when they showed him something cute.

The next six months were going to be interesting.
