Okay can we just talk about how cute prego Kellin and protective Vic are like I would be content in life to just watch these two like bicker about something stupid with Kellin and his giant stomach and Vic just not being able to take him seriously so he just starts laughing which makes Kellin even more mad and like his face would turn red and literally I need this in my life
I'm sorry
~Jack Barakat~
"You're beautiful," I remarked, smiling across the table at Kellin. He blushed and looked down at the plate of spaghetti he was eating. Kellin had claimed that he had a really strong craving for Italian so I had decided to take him out on a date to one of the best Italian restaurants in town and he was a very, very happy kitten.
"Shut up Vic," he mumbled, twisting noodles on his fork. I smiled and took a bite of my own food. He reached across and took my free hand with his own. "I love you Vic."
"I love you too Kitten," I said. We ate for a few more minutes, just talking about different things, mainly arguing about the baby's room when Kellin fell silent.
I looked up at him, to find that he was staring off into the distance wide eyed.
"Darling? Are you alright?" I asked quietly, he shook his head. "Do you want to go home?"
"Please," he sniffed. I nodded and stopped a waiter, asking him for our bill and called up the chauffer to let him know that we were ready. Soon Kellin and I were in the limousine going home.
"What happened? Are you okay?"
"Jack Barakat," he said quietly. "That was his name. The man w-who killed Sophie and took me. Y-you killed him didn't you?"
I pulled my not so little kitten onto my lap and brushed the hair out of his face, "Yes I did Kitten, I killed him and his partners. You're never going to get hurt again, especially by them."
"I remember him, he was so cruel and I-I," he cut off and buried his face in my shoulder crying.
I rubbed his back slowly, "It's alright Darling, you're okay now. I'm here and I'm never going to leave you alone like that again." I said quietly. "You don't have to talk about any of it if you don't want to."
He shook his head, "No, I want to tell you. I know you saw where I was, you probably saw the room and what not. But I did what you always told me to, I want you to know that. Rule number one, never let your Kidnapper know that you're scared of him. Don't give them that power." He said slowly. "And you told me, I –I remember. Keep your dignity Darling, if you can get your kidnapper to think of you as a human then it will be harder for them to hurt you. Don't cry, don't bed them to spare you and don't challenge them, instead try to show them respect. Show them that you're human and worthy of respect. I did that Vic, I did all of that and for a while it worked and I didn't cry until Sophie died. I bonded with him, I built up a rapport and I even got the Merrick guy to like me. W-we would talk sometimes and he told me he didn't want to hurt me, that if he didn't Jack would hurt his kids."
I nodded and kissed him carefully, "I'm very proud of proud of Kitten, I'm so, so proud of you. Do you know that?"
Kellin sniffed and rubbed his nose, "I don't know why you would be, I killed our daughter."
"No you didn't, it did. You did everything you could to protect Sophie, her death is not your fault, do you understand? I'm proud of you because you survived. Kells, you're still here, you didn't let anything that happened to you break you." I told him.
My Kitten nodded and leaned his head on my shoulder, our hands both resting on his stomach as neither of us said anything else.
...
Kellin let out a soft, quiet sigh in content, once we got home Kellin decided that he wanted to lie down, and that he wanted me to hold him, so here we were. Lying in bed, Kellin's head on my chest while I rubbed his back. Neither of saying anything as we laid here, sitting in silence.
"I remember everything you know," Kellin whispered, breaking the silence and I stopped rubbing his back.
"What do you mean?" I asked and Kellin pulled away so that he no longer had his face pressed against my chest.
"I mean that I remember everything that happened to me now, I-I don't know really when it all came back but it did; and thank you for saving me Viccy, you're always going to be my superhero. I still don't know how you did it, but you did. And-and it's not just that, that I remember. When I was in the coma, I remember you talking to me, I-I heard you cry. I've never heard you cry before baby but when I remembered hearing you cry it killed me. And, I never want you to have to cry again, especially not because of me. I love you Vic." He said, his eyes watering, I smile at my little kitten, he's been through so much pain in the past few years, so much hurt and violence and I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive myself for what's happened to him, but I will never let Kellin get hurt by anyone again.
"I love you too Kellin, and I promise you, you're never going to have to go through something like that again. I didn't know what love truly was like until I fell in love with you. You're my adorable little kitten and while you think I'm the one who saved you, you're the one who saved me. And-" I stopped for a second and mulled over what I was about to say. "And, I want you to marry me."
Kellin's eyes widened, "W-what?"
"Will you, Kellin Quinn Bostwick, do me the wonderful pleasure and marry me?" I asked, the corner of my mouth quirking up in a small half smile. Kellin let out a scream and launched himself at me.
"Yes holy shit yes!" He said knocking me onto my back. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around him.
"If you let me up, I can grab your engagement ring," I told him, Kellin let out a little giggle and climbed off of me. I stood up and went over to my dresser and pulled out the velvet box that contained his ring. Kellin swung his legs over and sat on the edge of the bed. I walked towards him slowly and got on one knee in front of him, holding the ring out to him. With cheeks bright red, his eyes watery and a tear sliding down his face, Kellin held out his hand and I slid the ring on his finger, pressing a soft kiss to the back of his hand.
"I love you Kellin," I said softly, he smiled and wrapped his arms around my neck and hugged me tight.
"I love you too Viccy, so, so much." He said in my ear. "And I can't wait to be Kellin Fuentes."
I grinned and he pulled away, "I can't wait either, now come on. You need to rest, you're growing my daughter inside of you." I stated and we got back in bed.
"Well, from what I'm experiencing your daughter is a violent little shit like her daddy," he muttered.
"She's not calling me that."
"Yes she is, you're going to be Daddy and I'm going to Dad."
"No, I'm not going to be called Daddy."
"Fine," he sighed and kissed me quickly. "She's going to call you Papa and I'll be Daddy."
I groaned, "Darling, what does she have to call one of us Daddy?"
"I like it."
I rolled my eyes and rested my arm on his waist, "I have a question for you darling."
"What is it?"
"How long have you remembered Lynn?"
"Um she's been living with us what? Two and a half months now?"
"Something like that."
"I remembered her like two weeks after she moved in. It's just funny seeing how irritated she gets with me when I act like I have no clue who she is."
I chuckled, "You're terrible."
Kellin let out a cute little giggle, "I get my orneriness from my fiancé so you should tell him that."
"Fiancé," I said smiling. "I like that."
My kitten looked down at his ring, "I do too."
