"Good morning everyone this is your captain speaking. We're ten minutes away from our final destination: New York. The sun is shining making the temperature raise up to 80 f this afternoon. We wish you a pleasant stay from the board and hope you enjoyed the travel."

Alison sighs as she closes her laptop, closing her eyes too as she lets her head come in contact with the seat behind her.

Ten minutes, ten minutes away from the moment she has been waiting for the past five months. Especially the last two months considering Emily already fled to New York with her daughter, while Alison was trapped in her parents house.

Emily being in New York meant no notes anymore in her locker, no secret meetings to make out. Whom may haven't been so secret to Hanna considering she walked in several times. But the worst of them not any communication at all, not the occasionally I love you's or how you're doing's.

Several times Alison was tempted to pick up the phone and dial Emily even if it was to hear her voice just for one second. But she was too afraid. A bright future with them could have been ruined by just a two second phone call, if her parents would have found out they would've never let her go. Even though this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Alison's career ambition.

Alison's thoughts divert to her phone that rings in her hand, automatically bringing a smile to her face. They may haven't been texting the past months but the moment Alison was out of her parents sight, the moment she walked in the airport, she had been calling Emily up to border time, and with the wifi in the plane they were able to text during the whole flight.

Alison smiles seeing the picture of the little girl. Can she call her her daughter, stepdaughter? Either way she's happy she made it before the little munchkin turned one. Even if it was only a week for her birthday.

Before Alison knows it she's already with eighteen wheels steady on the ground and all her luggage is by her side. All she has to do now is to try not to cry as she sees Emily standing there with their daughter in her hands in the distance. The only thing separating them is the wall of glass.

Striding across the airport floor she hurries up to her, every pace Alison walks is still not fast enough for her and if she wouldn't be so focused on her goal she would hear the grumpy people complaining at her or she would see the looks she's getting.

But the moment Emily's eyes find hers all the sounds around her are blocked away, the crowded place seems to disappear and it seems to be only them. And she's happy she isn't the only one having the problem of keeping the eyes dry.

The moment couldn't have been anymore cliche Alison thinks by herself as she's only two feet away from Emily's arms. That of cours until she gets stopped by a hand on her upper arm, tugging her to turn around. "Alison?" A middle aged woman questions and it takes Alison a few moments to realize who she is, "what a pleasant surprise! What are you doing here in New York?"

Alison takes a quick glance at Emily before turning to her mothers friend, wanting to end the conversation as soon as possible. "I'm going to work and live here."

"With that much luggage? Honey where are your stuff?" The woman says looking at the small bag hanging over Alison's shoulder and only one suitcase behind her. "Oh this is all, I've decided it's the best to make a fresh, clean start."

"Oh you're mom failed to notice me, but you're always welcome to eat dinner with us. You remember my son Dominic? He's still single." The woman says and it takes difficulty for Alison to not roll her eyes. "Thank you, I'll Uhm keep it in mind." She says quickly leaving the woman behind before she can utter another word.

Just when she thinks they were safe God throws it in her face that it all still isn't over. They still have to be careful. So she walks up to Emily grabbing her by the wrist and dragging her to the restroom, as Emily has her daughter on her hip. Wanting more privacy and not a lurking old lady close. "Alison, what are you doing?" Emily asks having her eyebrows scrunched together in confusion.

"Fuck, it's really you." She curses but quickly putting her hand over her mouth looking at the little one year old who find her fist very tasty. Emily can't help but laugh at the worried face over a curse word and when Alison notices it she joins in. Taking the brunette in her arms.

"I missed you." Emily starts squeezing their bodies tighter together. "Me too, but I'm here now." Alison says turning over to Mackenzie. Grabbing the little girl her hand"And now the three of us can start our life, we can be together everyday."

"I can't believe this is happening, it all seems like a dream." Emily admits taking the blonde once more in her arms.

Alison slowly pulls back, letting their foreheads rest again each other as she gazes in the chocolate brown eyes. Their intense state being cut off by a giggle from the little girl. They both turn to her, with two giant smiles reaching upon their ears.

"Let's get home."
