The rest of the week would be called uneventful or a normal week by anyone, but for Alison it was a perfect week. Absolutely no responsibility other than making Emily happy.

The three of them went out for Mackenzie's birthday yesterday which was by far the best day for Emily. She loved every second of it.

But back in her mind Emily was already being worried about the next day. Today.

Alison's family would come over, Alison's real family.

It dreaded over her that she couldn't be apart of that. Not that she wanted to be apart of those scumbags whose last names happened to be Dilaurentis. More that she could never really be considered as a part of Alison's family.

Maybe it would only take a bit more of courage to come out, it would be literally coming out from Alison's side. The things Emily could tell, to show them she's trustworthy as Alison other half. "You're daughter calls me daddy too." Would be such a great icebreaker for Alison's parents to accept her as Alison's partner.

Or maybe accept her as an individual, that would already be a huge step.

But she knows those steps are way too huge and only imaginable. But she'll gladly take what she has now, looking to her right she sees Alison snuggled close to her on the couch with Mackenzie in between their legs.

They're all watching frozen and Elza's lines from Let It Go were the true inspiration for Emily's mind to wander and drift away from their movie.

Alison sensed Emily's mind drifting away but she was getting used to that. Every day she would drift of to god knows where a couple of times. She did hope that maybe one day Emily wouldn't have to drift away anymore and could stay right here, right with her. To share what's on her mind.

But today Alison could easily guess what was on her mind. 'Your future in-laws who don't know they're going to be your future in-laws coming to visit tonight and planning to stay for a while, when you have to move out with your daughter and hide all of your tracks in the main time.' is not that weird to worry about, so Alison didn't blame her.

Deciding to be her amazing self once again,
she gets up from the couch to make them all some lunch. She caught Emily's questioning gaze so in return she reassured her with a small smile.

Grilled cheese will always stay her speciality and waiting for the bread to get actually grilled she picks up her phone to kill the time.

Seeing the five missed calls from her mother makes her have a slight panic attack, immediately calling her back.

But of course she doesn't pick up, while her last call was just over a minute ago.

After grabbing some soda from the refrigerator her mother name pops up on the screen and she doesn't miss a heratbeat to answer it.

"Mother?"

"Hello dear, how are you doing?" Alison is relived her mother sounds rather enthusiastic but on the other hand with her mother you never know.

"Great, just cleaning everything a bit up before you will arrive."

"Well you would have to hurry with that, we just landed and are collecting our luggage." The way her mother says it as she's just talking having some small talk almost makes Alison miss this new and definitely alarming information.
