"Got everything?" Hermione looked down at her fourteen-year-old daughter.

Rose looked over her trunk and bag. After a few moments, she gave her mom a thumbs up in confirmation.

"Yep."

Hermione smiled in approval then replied in a serious tone. "Okay, then, let's go. There is no way I'm letting your dad and Hugo beat us to the train station again. It's been three years, time for a knew champion."

Rose laughed as she followed her mom outside to the front yard. Ron was just strapping little Hugo to the broom he got that week. Hermione watched in deep concern as Ron strapped him in.

"Are you sure it's safe?" Hermione questioned, walking over to the two.

Ron nodded. "Safe as if can be. I added the belt for extra protection."

Hermione sighed. "Are you sure it'll be safe?" She repeated.

"Yes," Ron rolled his eyes.

Hugo turns to his mother, smiling. "Don't worry, mum, we'll be alright."

Hermione ruffles his hair. "Oh sweetie. It's not you I'm worried about...it's your deranged father that concerns me."

Ron rolled his eyes again. "He's twelve, Hermione, not two."

She ignored him. "Go slow."

Ron snorted. "Yeah right. You just want to win, hop in your car, Granger, so we can start this thing."

Rose and Hermione get in the car, starting the engine. Ron boards the broom before hovering a few feet in the hair.

Hermione stuck her chin. "That's Granger-Weasley to you." She corrected before getting into the car along with Rose.

"Ready?" Ron smirks.

Hermione laughs, shouting, "Eat dust, Weasley," before pulling out of the driveway.

Scorpius walked into the kitchen to find his mother busy away cooking breakfast. Her brown hair was tied up into a high bun, and Scorpius couldn't help but feel a bit sad knowing that it wouldn't be long until she lost all her hair. As much as he hated it, his mum wouldn't stay calm or sit down and relax for nobody. She insisted that everything should go back to normal despite what the Healer had diagnosed her with.

"Mum," Scorpius began, rushing over to help her with breakfast. "The Healer said you should be relaxing not slaving away over food."

She huffed. "I'm a little tired than usual, Scorpius, not dead."

He immediately stopped what he was doing. "That's not even remotely funny."

She laughed anyway. "Cancer gives you the leeway to make death jokes. And it was a little funny."

Scorpius couldn't stop the smile that formed on his lips. "Point taken. But just know I won't always laugh in the future."

"Fair enough." She said, then add. "Are you ready? You don't want to miss seeing your girlfriend on the platform."

Scorpius lets out exaggerated sigh. "Mum, she's not my girlfriend."

"For someone who isn't your girlfriend you sure seem to talk about her an awful lot." Astoria whisks her wand around and the plates carrying the breakfast food floats away and settles on the table. "What's her name again? I know it's a flower. Is it Daisy?"

This causes Scorpius to snort. She was far more beautiful to be called Daisy. "Her name is Rose, mother and that's only because she infuriates me."
