~Quinn's P.o.V.~
"Quinn Hall, I think I am already madly in love with you."
I was stunned. My legs suddenly turned to jello beneath me. Hurt and regret flashed through his eyes at my hesitancy to reply. If I didn't grab something soon, I knew I would collapse. I wrapped my arms tightly over his shoulders. The sparks from where our bare skin touched just intensified my feelings.
"Ethan, I love you too." His shoulders relaxed, and I could feel his wolf howling in content. He pulled me impossibly closer, nuzzling his head into my neck. I looked up into his eyes, only to see the hurt and regret completely gone, replaced by love and adoration.
I knew he wouldn't rush it and make the first move, so standing up on my tip toes, I placed a soft lingering kiss on his lips. He reacted instantaneously, not wasting time to slowly rub fiddles on my lower back. He ran his tongue along my bottom lip, but I wasn't giving in that easily. I smirked against his lips as his hands travelled a little farther down. I slightly gasped when he gave my butt a squeeze, giving him the perfect opportunity to slip his tongue in my mouth. Before there was a chance for the kiss to get any deeper, someone cleared their throat behind us, effectively breaking us apart.
Everette was leaning against the door way, with a sly smile across his face, "Get a room!"
I proceeded to flip him off, before turning to face Ethan again. With a last small kiss, I told him I would see him tomorrow. I watched him drive off before walking back into the house and going up to my room. Flopping down on my bed, I grabbed my phone.
The week passed fairly uneventfully, and before I even knew it, it was Thursday. Tomorrow I would be introduced into the pack. I made the horrible mistake of asking Nicole to come dress shopping with me after school.
"Alright, I think you need to find a dress that's form fitting, but also flowly. But it needs to be short, but not too short." Nicole started rambling on about finding the perfect dress. I zoned out and started thinking about the rest of the pack. Would they accept me?
"-inn! Quinn! Earth to Quinn!!"
"Huh? What? Sorry." I sheepishly replied.
She smirked, "We've been parked for 5 minutes. Just thought we were going to get you a dress, not admire the concrete of the parking garage wall."
"Oh shut up, let's go." I replied, stepping out of the car.
We walked into the Macy's and made our way over to the dresses. The store was unusually empty. Cayenne was on edge, but if wasn't sure why.
After combing the racks for about half an hour, I finally found one that I loved. Nicole agreed and ushered me to the dressing room. I pulled on the white, lacy, vintage-y dress and stepped out to show Nicole. She twirled her finger in the air, meaning she wanted me to spin. I did, and she squealed like a little girl discovering her crush likes her back. She told me to wait there, she wanted to find a belt to finish off the look.
I looked in the mirror again, it really was a perfectly designed dress. The scalloped edge of the dress fell about 3 inches above my knee. I looked down and away from the mirror, thinking about which of my cowboy boots to wear with it, when someone tapped me on my shoulder. Not thinking much of it, I didn't turn around, but just started talking.
"I think I might wear my brown Ariats with the embroidered flowers on them. You know?" I finally looked up, not to see Nicole, but the familiar black, cold eyes of the rouge that attacked us a week ago in the hall.
"Remember me, princess?" He snarled. I tried to back away, but his hand grabbed my arm and twisted it painfully behind me, flipping me back around and pulling me against his chest.
"I suggest you cooperate, if you'd like to keep your arm." His voice was cold, like hardened steel. "Tell Alpha Ethan the crow has landed." The way he said Alpha Ethan, with so much disgust, made me shiver. Then, as quickly as he had come, he was gone. Now replaced by Nicole who was holding a woven leather belt.
"You look like you just saw a ghost, you ok?" Concern clouded her eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just, tired. That belt will look great, I'm going to change back then let's just go home." I could tell she didn't quite believe me, but I left before she could argue with me.
-At home-
What the rouge had said kept playing through my mind, "Tell Alpha Ethan the crow has landed." What did he mean, the crow has landed? Was it like a secret code? I decided to text Ethan.
(A/N: text will be indicated by an E if it is from Ethan, or a Q if it's from Quinn.)
Q: Hey Ethan, I have a question?
He responded almost immediately.
E: Yes love? What is it?
Q: If someone were to say "the crow has landed," what would it mean?
He waited a few moments before responding. I knew those words meant something of great importance.
E: Usually it means a plan is taking place, or something like that. You need to get some rest for your big day tomorrow :P. I love you, goodnight.
Q: Alright, love you too.
I plugged my phone back into the charger. I don't realize it was already 11 pm. I must have spent a lot more time thinking about that rouge than I thought. I began to drift off to sleep, I couldn't wait to meet the pack tomorrow, but the rouge told me to tell Ethan that for a reason. What plan was happening? Before I could question it much more, I was plunged into sleep.
Hey guys! This is all of chapter seven! It's kind of a filler, but it's setting up something super important about to take place.
