Chapter 2

Alyssa POV

I walked into the bathroom and my mom wasn't there, but for some reason I called August to tell him if he can come back.

"Hey August I need you right now?"

"Imma be there."

And with that the phone hung up and like 5 minutes later I hear a knock at the door. I looked through the peek hole and seen August. I opened the door and immediately hugged. 

"You good ma?"

"Not even. I went upstairs, I heard screaming from the bathroom and next thing I know my mom is gone and the window was opened and then they left a note."

"Did you read it?"

"No I was to scared to."

"Let me see." I gave him the note and he read it and the way his facial expressions changed I got more terrified of what someone could have written.

"It says, If you want your mother back you have to do a couple of things for me. First you have to sell some things for me and if you don't know what I mean ask your friend next to you."

August and I looked at each other, but one thing that came to mind was can August be apart if this?

"Second I want you to get this outfit out of your closet and I want you to get dressed and look pretty. Third...you go to a warehouse and you might just get your mother back and a couple other people. You start tonight at 7, so don't be late."

August looked at me and I didn't know what to say or do.

"August what do you this person mean? Are you that friend that they are talking about?"

"Alyssa it's a long story and I know you gon end hurt, but trust me I won't be the hurting you. I'm just your keeper."

"I have time."

"Aight."

August POV *Flashback*

I was getting ready to sell some things and get this money. As I was walking down the street I end up seeing Lucas on da block.

"Aye what's ma dude?"

"Nun just tryna get this money. Ion gotta ask you much, we in da same shit."

"Well I'm just tryna get better and provide for ma family ya know. That's all that there is to this shit. How is ole girl doing?"

"She been good. She not to long told me some stupid shit.'

"What was that?"

"She told that after all three of us stopped smoking that she ended up cheating on me with one of her friends. Right then and there I wasn't ready to hear no stupid shit like."

"Ma dude I would've been the happiest nigga if ma bitch was kissing another girl. That's basically 2 in 1. Ma dude I would've been smashed both of them hard."

"Aye man that's ma girl and her friend your talking about."

"Aight I respect that, but how's the head from her friend?"

"Nah I never did no sneaky shit with her friend but I can say her shit fat."

"Get right bro." I dapped Lucas up.

"Nah but I have a mission and it's on ole girl and I don't know if i want to do this to her.'

"The boss sent you to do so didn't he?"

"Hell yeah. It is just stupid but he is giving me 10k. Do you not know how much I can do with that much?"

"True but would you really hurt ya girl like that just for some money that you are making right now in da streets."
