Chapter 4

Alyssa POV

As I went back inside, I didn't see August. I was looking all over until I heard roughly breathing. I get a little closer and I see August on the floor holding his stomach.

"OH MY GOSH!" I said running to him.

"I'm alright ma just help me up." I helped him up and we started walking to the car.

As we were driving it was silent. "You wanna go to the hospital because it looks very bad?"

"Nah, but don't you have an aid kit at home?"

"Yeah but August you need to go to the hospital."

"I said I'm good that's all. I been shot before I know what I'm talking about."

"Ok August."

5 minutes later

We finally got in. August and I went upstairs so I can get the aid kit.

"Found it!" I said after 2 minutes of searching.

"Thank God cuz this shit at artificial to hurt."

He took off his shirt and showed his six pack. I started for a second and then I came back to reality.

"Ahhh!" August winced in pain as it scared me a lil bit.

"I'm sorry." I said still scared.

"You good ma."

I kept cleaning it then I finally started stitching his womb. After that I put Vaseline on it and then I pulled him up to wrap this band around his stomach.

"Your all good. Now here's a lollipop." I said giving him a red one and got me one too.

"Thanks baby girl." He said giving me a kiss on my forehead. Then he looked down at me and we just stared into each other eyes and there was a silence that creeped upon us. He started to lean in and so did.

Our lips end up connecting and I felt an instant spark. I wrapped my arms around his neck as I stood on my tippy toes. He fell back onto the bed as I was still on top of him.

"I love you Alyssa." August said.

"I love you too August but I can't do this." I said looking into his light brown eyes. That's when the doorbell ringed.

I went downstairs to see who it was. I looked through the peek hole and seen that it was Lucas.

I opened the door and immediately gave me a hug and spun me around. He kissed my check and smiled at me.

"What are you doing?"

"Not to long ago helped August with his womb on his stomach."

"You let that nigga in here?"

"He needed help Lucas and I really don't wanna hear all this yelling."

"Well then don't let niggas in here by yourself knowing I'm not here."

"Ok Lucas are you done?" I said walking away upstairs.

"What's good August?" Lucas said dapping him up.
I just laid on my bed and watched TV.

"Nun much got a lil scar but it's all good. How about you?"

"Just checking on my baby." Lucas said giving me a quick glare. I did a quick smile and turned my head back to the tv.

"Well imma go see yall tomorrow." August said getting his jacket and gave me a hug.

"Bye Auggie." I said giving him a hug back.

After August left and I locked the door. I felt an awkward moment between Lucas and I. I took a quick shower and got into bed.

"So how was your day babe?"

"It was weird and interesting."

"Like what?" 

I told Lucas about the whole thing with the window and how August came and helped me and also how my mom went missing and that August is helping me find her. The only thing is I didn't tell Lucas about what happened between August and I because I don't wanna ruin our relationship just because I did something stupid or just being honest. Yeah yeah I know when your in a relationship your supposed to be honest and truthful with your spouse, but not tonight, I got too many things to handle and telling Lucas what happened that is just going to add on more shit that I don't want.

"Well I'm going to sleep, good night." I said turning over facing the window as the moonlight shine in my face.

"Good night babe." Lucas said wrapping his hands around my waist, but the only thing I can think about is my mom and how I'm going to find her.

Next Day

I woke up and turned around but I didn't see Lucas. I used the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth because I took a shower last night. I walk downstairs to hear glass cups clinging. I walk further in the kitchen to see my mom.

"Mommy." I said running towards her with tears streaming down my face. I can't believe that she is finally back. 

"I miss you mommy." I said crying even harder. " I thought I would never see you again."

"Its ok baby. I'm here now, but I have to tell you something."

"What?" I said as she held my face.

"Come upstairs with me." 

We walk upstairs into her room and we sit on the bed. 

"Ma what's going on?"

"Baby...imma get straight to the point. Lucas is not what you think he is."

"What do you mean?"

"Lucas is the one that took me with someone else."

"Are you serious?!" I said as I immediately stood up. I was pacing back and forward to register what my mom just said. Lucas really took my mom? Did he also do those things to August? Was August right about Lucas not being the person he is?

"Yes baby. I would never lie to you and you know that." My mom stood up and wrapped her arms around me with a tight hug as I cry in her arms. 

"I gotta go they are gon go back and they wanna see you...dead." 

"Who wanna see me dead?" 

"Lucas and his peoples."

"So what do I gotta do?" 

My mom told me the plan as we heard the door knobs jiggle from downstairs. So I went along with what my mom told me and waited til I got the que.
