Chapter 14

Alyssa POV

Princeton and I finally got in the house. I felt a little better that Melanie and Princeton talked to me.

"Girl we about to get com for table." Draya said coming downstairs.

"You mean comfortable?" I said.

"Nah I know what I meant." She said plopping down on the couch.

I chuckled as I went upstairs and changed into something more comfy. I went back downstairs and gave Draya a run down on what happened earlier today.

"So do I have to tell August because you know he'll kill any and every nigga for you." Draya said stating facts.

"I know but I don't want nun to happen, so imma just let everything go."

"That quick girl? You learn from the best, but you don't have to worry about another nigga or bitch if you ever go down that road because by me being your best friend and loving you continuously, I am ya nigga or even bitch. Don't you ever forget that, ok?"

"Mhm." I said nodding my head as Melanie came in the house with mad shnacks.

"So I smell chocolate?" I said getting up a little too fast to end up bumping into Craig.

"You should be a football player girl." He said getting up off the floor.

"I'm sorry and no ewlk they be all extra sweaty like nah b it's all good over here." I said helping Mel with my shnacks.

Everyone was downstairs in their pjs watching love and basketball while eating whatever snacks we had.

"Why you had to end things with her Q?" I said as my eyes started to tear up.

"This why I don't like watching movies with yo ass." Chres playfully mean mugged me as I did it back.

I got up to go get some more chocolate from out the kitchen.

"Alyssa?" I heard August voice behind me.

"Yeah." I said getting my Hershey's out the big wrapper.

"I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to make you feel some type of way. I just wanted you to know that he ain't what you see him as. I wanna be the one here for you not him. I wanna make you laugh, hug you all day, kiss all on you because I know you my baby and not anyone else's. I wanna be someone you go to when you having a bad day or you have great news to tell, I wanna be that person that you can say "I really do love this crazy ass nigga" I wanna be that nigga that's gonna hold you down when you going through the motions." He paused waiting for me to say something.

"All I'm tryna say is give me a chance ma. I can show you what you been missing. I won't hurt you I put that on everything I really do love and care for you deeply ever since I seen you freshman year and we started kicking it. I miss those days baby girl. I just want you and you only no other chick will ever get in between what we have or what we will have when we together." He said looking me in my eyes with every word that came out his mouth.

I couldn't say nun. He wiped my tears that I didn't know were running down my face.

"I love you Lyssa. I really do and you gotta trust me that I won't hurt you and that I'll love you continuously."

"I love you too August, I really do and it's ok You was just telling me facts that I needed to know and what I was doing wrong and I appreciate that. I want you to be that person, but not right now at least. I don't want you to feel like you gotta show yourself off as better than that nigga because in my eyes you are better." I paused because the tears started to come back once again.
