Brook took a twenty dollar bill out from under her bed and stuffed in in her jean pocket. She took her figure skates and put them in a bag.
She walked to the bathroom and locked the door. Brook stared at her reflection, she could see all her perfect imperfections. She had medium lengthened brown hair, small brown eyes , a tan curvy body, and a scar under her chin she got while playing hockey with her dad when she was ten.
After four minutes of brushing her hair and teeth she walked out of the bathroom grabbed her bag and walked out the front door and started to walk the pathway. Brook picked up her bike and hopped on, she peddled until she stopped at the arena.
As she entered the arena she was greeted by a woman with blonde hair sitting behind the table where you pay. Brook gave the woman the two dollars and fifty cents to get in.
She walked inside the doors to the ice rink and took at seat at the benches to put her skates on, she was having a hard time and struggling with tying them.
"Um do you need some help?" a voice said to her
Brook looked up.
It was Adrian
"You again" Brook whispered "oh, I'm good" she said loud enough for him to hear.
Adrian looked at her skates and laughed a little
"What?" she asked him "is there something wrong with them?"
"Well" he said "for starters your skates are on the wrong feet"
Brook looked down and her feet; she had put her left skate on her right foot.
Brooks face turned a bright pink.
"Now, about that help" Adrian gestured to her skates
"Yea" Brook answered "that would be great"
While Adrian tied brooks skates all she could do was blush.
His perfectly brown messy hair, has gorgeous green eyes, his dimples when he smiled; he looked so cute.
"So" he started "what's your name?, I never got it"
Brook looked at him in the eyes
"Brooklyn" Brook said "but, I prefer Brook"
Adrian smiled
"So Brook" he said while flashing his perfect teeth "do you want to skate with me?"
Brooks stomach tingled. she was so happy a boy was finally talking to her.
She smiled "sure, why not"
