As we pull up out front of the house everything still looks exactly the way I remember it. I can't help but smile and say to myself it's good to be home.
We get out of the car and grab my suitcases out of the trunk and start walking up the steps to the house when all of a sudden two little boys open it and run outside and start chasing eachother around the front yard. I stop and stare at them, and turn to Joe, "is that the twins?!" I ask with wide eyes as he just grins and nods his head yes. The last time I seen them they were only toddlers wobbling around! Now they must be at least 7!
I walk in the front door and Elizabeth says to me, "Joseph took your bag to your room, you remember where it is right?" She asks.
"You kept my room?" I ask slightly shocked.
"Of course we did sweetpea! You are our only daughter! we could never get rid of your bright pink room!" she says and smiles. I smile back and give her a hug and start walking up the steps to unpack.
"By the way dinner will be done in a hour so come down stairs when your done unpacking!" Liz says to me. I smile and nod walking upstairs.
I walk down the hallway to the last door on the left and has "Addy" on it with pink wooden letters. I open the door and look around and I start tearing up. Everything is exactly the same. My full size pink bed in the middle of the room with a canopy over top of it with a blanket on the bed hand knitted by grandmom Donnelly, my stuffed animals hanging in a net in the corner of the room. I open my closet door and see it covered with pictures I colored when I was younger. I sigh happily and start to unpack.
After I finished unpacking and getting cleaned up I walk down stairs and see Liz standing and the stove humming to her self while stirring noodles.
"Hey momma" i say to her and she turns around smiling.
"Hi sweetie, done unpacking?"
" Yes ma'm! Need any help in here?" I ask.
"Ah, yes can you set the table for me please?"
" Sure can."
I finish setting the table and walk upstairs to change into something more comfortable. I can't stand wearing jeans! I walk down stairs and back in to the kitchen and suddenly I hear the door slam and someone scream,
"Honey I'm home!" and in walks 5 Donnelly brothers.
