My Life With The Donnelly Boys

Chapter Five

I can't believe I start school on Monday. I'm actually really nervous. at least I'll have the boys with me. Today momma Liz and I are going school shopping and clothes shopping. I've missed these kind of days we always used to go out twice a month and just spend time together doing girl things.

"Are you ready to go sweetpea?" Elizabeth yells up the stairs.

"Yes momma I'm on my way down now!"

As I walk out my bed room door Lucas walks out of his. "Where are you going he asks?"

" Out with momma" I reply.

"You know, she's really happy you're home he says."

I look at him and nod my head smiling. "Oh wait! Me and the boys are going to the beach tomorrow for a end of the summer party, you wanna come?"

Sure, I reply.

"Ok, have fun with mom."

We pull into the mall parking lot and walk towards the mall going in almost every store! Let me just put it this way, by the time we were finished we needed four employees help us out to the car.

"Thank You so much for today momma, I really needed it." I say to Liz.

"Anything for my little girl. I really needed it to!"

Once I finish putting all my bags in my room I walk down stairs and plop on the couch and start switching through the channels on the tv. Then Mason walks in, the youngest of the Donnellys.

"ADDDDDDY" Mason yells and jumps on my lap. He is the complete opposite of the boys. He has black hair and hazel eyes like his dad, while all the other boys look just like their mom.

"Hey there buddy" I say to him as he turns forward getting comfy on my lap and I place my head on top of his.

"Can we watch a movie pleaseeee" he asks while giving me the puppy dog eyes. I laugh.

 "Sure what do you want to watch?"

"FWINDING NEMO!! he yells while bouncing up and down on my lap. I giggle.

Ok buddy I'll put it in."

I get up and put the dvd in getting a blanket and go back to the couch and sit down, Mason crawls over towards me and snuggles up to my chest. I can't take how cute he is!

By the time the movies over he's passed out in my lap. I chuckle lightly and pick him up to put him to bed.

"How do you do that?" A voice asks from behind me as I'm shutting Mason's door.

I jump in surprise and put a hand over my heart.

"Brayden you scared me!" he smirks. "How do I do what?" I ask.

" Mason always puts up a fight to go to sleep even for mom and dad but he just falls asleep on you!  You have a gift Addison Rose!" He exclaims.

I laugh, "Ok then Brayden!" I say walking towards my room as he follows.

"So," he says. "Have you've spoken to Bailey and Kendall?" I turn around at them two names. They were my best friends since first grade until I moved. How could I have forgotten about them? I bet they don't even know I'm back. Then I think of another person, My dad. My eyes start watering. I've been here for almost a week and I still haven't visited him. I look at Brayden who looks  at me with concerned eyes.

"Uh I-I have to go somewhere. Tell momma I won't be home for dinner."

 As I walk past Brayden with my head down. He stops me.

"Baby girl wants wrong?" his voice full of concern. "Its n-nothing" I say holding back the sobs that are threatening to come out.

He doesn't say anything he just pulls me towards him and wraps me in a comforting hug. I hug him back and kiss him on the cheek. "I'll be back in a little while" i tell him.

"Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" he asks.

"I will when I come home" I say.

He lets go hesitantly and nods. I walk down the steps fast and walk to the produce market not far from the house and buy flowers.
